The reason for the problem initially I can see that it’s missing the cam stop screw that keeps the tailpiece from turning too far that direction. Page 3 of the instructions, last step “A-5 Assemble cam stop screw” gets missed by some during the first installation. If someone mentioned it already I apologize but I didn’t read all the past posts. Love your videos Wayne!

@@waynewinton the Dl1200 is a massively larger lock body though- you gotta measure carefully to make sure it'll fit- a lot of doors won't have the space for it. I ran into this problem when installing a DL1200, im looking at installing this instead of a DL1200 where space is less to work with

Couldn't one just drown it in wd40 and call it a day???
