Out of context verse, this was specifically towards Israel but individuals. Sometimes, God does harm us and destroys our life and hopes for the future as a way to test us. God never promises happiness and an easy life, if anything it's the opposite which is why Jesus say "take up your cross and follow me" it's easy to claim to be. Christian when life is flowers and rainbows but true zeal and love for God shine in our darkest and toughest moments. So stop preaching the prosperity Gospel it's utter heresy.

I came upon this video and it's helped me A LOT! I am weighing a HUGE life altering decision. I have prayed and sought council. There are days when I am completely sure and days when I am wrought with fear. The process of moving to a new city and a new job doesn't instill fear. The process of "leaving" what I am familiar with is what scares me. I know that God is doing something. I have gone ahead, marching forward and things are falling into place. Pray for me that God guides my steps.

I’m in the same boat. I’m engaged. I’ve been confident for months and now that the wedding is so close I’m so scared of making the wrong decision. I’m afraid of marrying the wrong person and ultimately being outside of the Lord’s Will essentially for the rest of my life because I married the wrong man. I love my fiancé and I feel like the Lord has confirmed our relationship so many times but as of late I’ve had no peace (it feels like it got stolen) and I’ve been so afraid.

@@yzma6142 hi there! This was a very tough decision and I was tormented by it for 3 months. It all started when I watched a sermon on KZbin about love and marriage. The apostle that preached the sermon said something along the lines of “you haven’t even mastered the Lord’s voice yet you’re ready for a relationship with another person.” I was instantly convicted and reminded of how my ex and I got together. From there, I prayed and asked if the Lord wanted us to get married and He said “No” as clear as day. From there I wrestled with the thought for months. It wasn’t until the fear of the Lord within me became so strong that I finally surrendered and just let him go. This wasn’t an easy process but I’m thankful. I’ve healed and moved on❤️. This all happened at the end of 2021 into early 2022 by the way just for context. I pray this helps❤️

Wow this is crazy 😱I had so much confusion if whether or not God wants me to study abroad in the UK. I was trying to pray and meditate this into reality but during my session with God I kept hearing a voice that discouraged me into thinking that God doesn't want this for me and that "He has better plans for me". After prayer I was so unsatisfied because I felt unsatisfied and that God doesn't love since He is allowing this confusion to sink in even during my time with Him. So I went and searched deeper and decided to watch a yt video relating to my issue. Then I stumbled upon this video. SHE LITERALLY WENT THROUGH THE SAME SITUATION AS ME. Also, I realized that sometimes we ask God for clarity because He is a God of clarity and not confusion, but sometimes, God will doesn’t give us the 100% answer but rather it ‘s for us to find out with the guidance that comes from Him. Thank you so much! I LOVE YOU, JESUS, MORE THAN EVERYTHING! 🩷🥹

And I have got a very limited time to make this decision. As I was wondering if anyone had the same problem like me and have some advices from the Bible, I came across this video and I loved it. I love the GPS example. It reminded me a verse that my mentor shared to me yesterday which is Ps. 37:23-24 (23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.) Thanks for sharing this. God bless you

What did you decide? I'm in same limited time situation
@nadeanbenjamin43282 жыл бұрын
When making a decision, God speaks to our spirit and it flashes into our mind as a thought. Also, the biggest factor to confirm what He's saying, for example where to work, move, who to marry, etc., is the PEACE He gives according to Colossians 3:15. Many times we as Believers look for the spectacular- think 4th of July fireworks, when God speaks supernaturally through His Word. His voice is ALWAYS found in His Word. He says my sheep know my voice and they will not follow a stranger. The stranger/enemies voice is anything negative and he loves to keep confusion going. Also, we are to take every thought captive- 2Cor10:5. Simply because the enemy also speaks in thought form, but uses words such as "I" and "me" to try and make us believe we originated the negative or sinful thought. He also tries to confirm his nonsense by sending negative emotions, feelings, sensations simultaneously with the ungodly thought. Take your authority as a Believer and in the name of Jesus, command every hindering Spirit out of your situation. Also, as you meditate on God's Word, it is ACTIVE meditation, meaning reading, memorizing, and finding scripture for your situation and confessing it over every circumstance. Godly Meditation is NEVER blanking/emptying the mind as the world does. That's dangerous, as the enemy can come in and "speak" as well. These are some of the things God revealed to me to help me along the way. HTH. Charis Bible College has a channel here on KZbin and is an excellent resource in developing your relationship with God. I highly recommend them. -Blessings

@@nadeanbenjamin4328 Hi! I have a genuine question if you wouldn't mind taking the time to answer. I always have grown up hearing how the enemy can give us thoughts or negative ideas. I don't believe I've ever read a bible verse that actually states or implies that he can do anything in our mind. I know there are verses saying that he can tempt us or that he can use things in the world to try to get us off of God's plan, but do you happen to know of any verses speaking specifically to the enemy being able to get in our mind? Yes, we can have thoughts that are not from God and that are very fleshly but to me that is MY thought, not something the enemy has put in my mind (though, like I said I do believe the enemy can use things in the world to try to cause certain negative thoughts). Hopefully you get what I'm trying to say/ask.

This goes so well with ministry i heard Wednesday night. He shared the many ways God guides us to make decisions: Scripture, prayer, the Holy Spirit, spiritual wisdom, counsel of godly friends + circumstances. Its like “duh” but so important to be reminded of it constantly. God never leaves us to do life alone, He is always guiding us in the many decision we have to make (big and small). We never need to doubt in the One who knows every moment of our lives. We can trust the One who has plans for our lives - who always works everything for our good + His glory. I’m thankful that God is always with us. I love when God uses many ways to speak to us.

I went to estate sale a couple months ago and I was standing at the door to go in. I felt God say this is your home well I put my house on the market. Three months later neither home has sold yet but everything I read or listen to still says that's my home. I have doubted, feared and wrestle with why hasn't anything happened. It's God's timing I know it will happen, it's just when he wants me to keep in his words and prayers. I'm packed up, ready and waiting. I believe what I believe. Thanks Bonnie

Hi hon, I am 41 yrs of age. This has been an area of struggle in my life since the last possibly 15 years. I got married, had kids, and suddenly, decisions became a problem. From your devotion, I'm learning my time with God had its biggest change when these changes came in to my life. My time with God was consistent amd constant, I was my only responsibility. Here I am at this stage so flustered, my life has been on halt for 15 yrs and your video has helped me. I now know just what the Lord wants me to do. Thank you. Everytime I'm super close and consistent in study and presence, I get the same directives..when i get busy which is very often and about to move, fear, doubt and uncertainty pops up. May you and your ministry be forever blessed. Keep it up.

I can’t tell you how much this video has given me so much peace. I feel like I’ve been spinning out of a control about a situation that one I haven’t even prayed for nor have I been doing my part in being rooted in God before making a decision. I was so stressed about this decision It’s like I through our all my foundations. Thank you so so so much for reminding me going back to being rooted in Christ through time with him in his word and prayer renewing my mind will keep me from this spiral to be ready to move and step. Im so serious this video was a blessing
@iamjayatucker2 жыл бұрын
This by far is the best advice. What decision is bringing you peace when you are in the presence of God. I was listening to Matthew today and it was talking about how we shouldn’t worry about life in the same way the world does. What we should eat or drink. Our father in heaven gives GREAT gifts. Fear of man can be the root of doubt and we think it’s our disobedience. But I love that you said test the spirits because God wants us to test these things and know that it’s his will for us.
@abby_stewart3 жыл бұрын
I think for many Christians mindfulness feels very ‘new age’, but being present or “in the moment” is actually beneficial to our hearing from God. Thank you for saying that. Great video. Very in depth & helpful. I’ve also done the “flip open at random and that’s the scripture God wants me to read” mistake for long periods of time and it drove me insane. I so appreciate what you said about making a step forward and keeping things in motion and God will open or close doors according to His will; but He needs our action. That’s super vital to many of us who experience that paralyzing fear to make decisions.
@BansheeKing22 Жыл бұрын
Flip it open at random seems the better way probably. I could read the bible front to cover and the words don't change so if people are looking into something that isn't there or coming to their own interpretation then that makes more sense. So far my interpretation so far from what ivd read is "hypocrisy." Saying one thing then saying the opposite. Saying one thing is bad but then approving of that very thing later on.

I will have to say that it’s not something I always do because studying the word is very important, but I have had to make a huge decision on obedience pertaining to a huge move and I kept asking God for confirmations. So yes I was randomly opening my Bible app, I have two, and they both kept sending me to Ruth. I was also getting random videos down my timeline on KZbin where I received undeniable confirmations, I mean in one video, a woman literally had the name of the place God said to move on her shirt!😂 I’m a firm believer in signs and God sending you destiny helpers to help you walk in your purpose. He knows I’m a bit of Thomas, his knucklehead doubtful child, so he has to make it pretty obvious to me lol. Everybody’s story is different and he speaks to us in ways that we individually understand. It’s the same with your children. You most likely wouldnt communicate with each child in the same manner because they more than likely will respond differently🤷🏽♀️

Perfectly said 🙌🏾 funny thing is, i have Romans 12:2 up on my wall & i have been reading that scripture for the last couple of days in the midst of trying to make a decision & i run across this video. Thank you for sharing & allowing God to use you.

Similarly, I enjoyed studying abroad yet had the same questioning ambiguity beforehand. Thank you for sharing! But my main comment deals with the issue of prayer and approaching Almighty God. His Word says to “enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise.” This genuine gratitude and worship should scripturally come before our requests since Holy God already knows them anyway. Otherwise, it’s like addressing the Most High Creator out of the blue- simply with our temporary need, or question we would like God’s guidance in solving. In my experience, this time of thanking and praising God before asking for his intercession creates peace, focus and the solemnity necessary to be in the presence of God. Prayers become more effective. The Lord’s Prayer is a perfect example. 🙏🏼Thanks for all you do!

I love this video! I do agree that renewing your mind is not just opening the Bible but it takes work, but I dwant to make a point that God does guide you guidance to randomly open the Bible and the verse hits home. When I found out I was first pregnant with my first child, I was having a breakdown and me and his father weren’t dating so I felt very worried and crazy about the whole situation. I did feel God led me to open the Bible and the first page I opened I I read “a pregnant woman is beautiful”. I don’t remember what chapter and still to this day cannot find what verse it was. So is this an actual verse? Or was God just doing his thing performing miracles to calm my mind and my heart? Either way, it did change my perspective and my thoughts about my pregnancy. Will never forget that ♥️ he’s 7 now!

I felt God call me to stay at my job at church when we had a transition of leadership last year and my role changed. I started as an entry level admin with no prior experience to office management in 2 years. I’ve been operating in this role for about 8 months now and I feel like I’m drowning. I also just graduated with a bachelors this past may and so I’m struggling to stay at my job. But a part of me feels if I leave I’ll be leaving what God was calling me to in January. It’s jsut such a hard situation and it’s weighing so heavy on me. I’m burned out and don’t know what to do. I’ve prayed. I’ve persisted. I’ve grown and am growing. Life is just hard right now.

Confession; God has not given me the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. You can confess this anytime you feel fearful. Also anytime that negative thought comes reject it in the name of Jesus. If you have peace of God about the job he will supply the grace to do it. Also your presence will minister to the cancer patients to the glory of God. God bless.

I can relate so much to everything you're saying! I made the decision to apply to study at a university abroad, but I need to to take a language test to be able to study there. I noticed as I was applying that I was actually quite late with the language proficiency testing, and all the tests had just been when I started looking into it. But, I still had faith and a really big desire to study there. However, I was worried I wasn't going for the right reasons etc, because all I genuinely want is to do God's will! I was in contact a lot with the university, had a lot of faith, but when they started talking abouth the proof of language proficiency (that I don't yet have), I got really discouraged. Because I started feeling discouraged I was jumping back and forth between "oh, is this the right thing (which also happened when I was questioning whether or not I was going for the right reasons), there seems like there's just obstacle after obstacle". Because of my indecisiveness I started questioning if it actually was the will God. But I also noticed that those days where I was feeling the most discouraged about it, would be when I hadn't spent time with God, and always when I did, I would be filled with faith for it again. Now I found a language test that I can take in less than a month, but the deadline for applying for is today. I'm really torn on whether or not I should take it, because on the website it says that I would actually not get my results back in time for when the university requires that I give it (which again makes me think, "is this yet another obstacle"?). I also have to go to that country and specific city in order to actually take the test, and I'm wondering if it's worth it? I can of course pray to God to provide the certificate in time, but because of my discouragement I start thinking that maybe I should just move to the country, find a job and serve in the church I got to connect with and really got a heart for (this I could still do while studying though), get to learn the language properly and then apply next year? But, even this option has its challenges (i.e. is accomodation a lot harder to find if you're not a student). However, the fact that I'm considering this option as well makes me think that I don't have enough faith in God, and I really do want to trust Him, but at the same time, if there's been these obstacles, are they a sign God doesn't want me to go there, or is it just the devil trying to discourage me and hinder me from going there? Still, I keep thinking thart I should at least try, and then see what happens, and if it's not His will it won't work out- then I at least don't have to live in the uncertainty of what could have been, but I didn't act and thus will never know. Lord, help me

NLT Deuteronomy 31:8 "It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you, he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." This is one of my favorites so far that I've read on courage. When I think about how to heal my apprehension and fears for the future, I think "oh man, He's already done it." Kinda like in Harry Potter when he's all "I KNEW I COULD DO IT CUZ ID ALREADY DONE IT!" in the end of the 3rd movie when he's on a hippogriff. Anyway, it reminds me of that. Christ already has gone before me and planned it all - it can be scary because God's plan isn't for the faint of heart. There is very real evil in this world and sometimes we endure things we don't understand. But at least we've got a Savior and each other - I want to overcome my fear of honesty in person.
