Hi Kackie! I'm not sure if you've already done a video like this, but I think it would be cool/helpful to do a video with half your face of makeup being cool toned vs the other half warm toned! I love your color theory quick bits and I'd love to learn more about what makes a tone flattering vs not on certain skin tones.

So often I think you need to see a color besides another color to appreciate its differences. AllFiesty just did a bronzer video. She was showing the Hermes in shade 2, it’s was fine, kinda warm, whatever. Then she starts adding other swatches & in the lineup I realize that the Hermes is actually kinda baby poop colored (yellowish?) & I made myself laugh because now I can only see it as baby poop, & yo, that’s $105.

'Expired wallpaper paste' I didn't even know wallpaper paste expires. But the talkative nature of your channel makes me feel the need to share this completely unrelated anecdote about my dad. He is the type who will DIY anything and will never 'call a guy', if, by the skin of his teeth, he can help it. Still, every time he has ever put up wallpaper, he always used too little adhesive, so it peeled off the wall, and he had to re-glue it. Really, every time

The Lisa Eldridge cleanser is the best I’ve ever used. It’s a wonderful texture and you leave it on as a moisturizing mask for 2-20 min and then it either rinses right off or can be wiped off with a damp muslin. Honestly, I didn’t think I would buy this, but it replaces the Glossier Moon Mask and my cleanser and now that I’ve tried it, I’m totally in. The washcloth things are fabulous as well and I truly didn’t think I would find anything unique about those at all. I haven’t tried the mist, but hopefully the Sorcery palette will come back in soon and I will buy it then.

To address my thinning hair problem, I started PRP (platelet-rich plasma) scalp treatments with my dermatologist about two years ago. They draw your blood, spin it to separate the PRP, and then inject it into your scalp. It's very expensive. Here's the thing, though: it has actually worked. I have significantly more hair now. My hairdresser, in particular, has taken note of the difference.

The basma foundation also has a really good light olive shade foundation, its the first match ive ever found because its a blue/gray leaning green more than a yellow green and every company assumes there is no such thing as a cool olive

You have solved the mystery of my make up mysteries! I am a very high contrast person. I have almost black hair, grey eyes and wear the lightest shade in every foundation…many not pale enough. And to my tragic horror I cannot tolerate much shimmer at all. Mattes always look better. I never understood why.

I SO appreciate having found someone who appreciates the disaster mica can cause. Mica, & it’s fancy named but equally unruly synthetic fluorphlogopite. I’ve had to teach myself these ingredients so that when I see them on products I just pass. And thank you for talking about the difference between like Pearl and then y2k iridescence. The VB highlight stick had rainbow iridescent pieces that come literally alive in sunlight. Vs more sophisticated takes where it’s like a sheen of Pearl…

i personally love cool tones bc i’m embracing my natural, very rapidly greying, hair color. i’d love to see some cool vs warm toned makeup featured like another commenter suggested! i have spent many years actively seeking & purchasing singles of eyeshadows and various blushes to work with my tones…i can wear warm on my eyes, but i’m really cool toned and so most of what i find doesn’t always vibe well. like that colour pop palette, it looks interesting to me but i wouldn’t risk the $ on the other products i’d rather see someone else try the blush etc. it’s totally cool you don’t go for those colors of course, i just wanted to expand why i’d also like to see warm vs cool toned makeup on you. i don’t think i’m a whole lot older than you ….? idk i just know i am starting to realize i’m just not hip to a lot of cool (as in new & buzzy) makeup lately 😂 might be just a ‘me’ thing too trying to adapt to middle age! ps yesss to the nars blushes

The most beautiful pearlescent/iridescent product I’ve used (and I’m over 40) is the ByTerry brightening CC serum, which comes in a variety of amazing shades. I’m partial to the rose shade but I just got one of the bronzier ones for summer. If you haven’t tried that product, I think you’d really like it. Kind of like the MAC strobe cream but better.

Those Maybelline liquid lips are an old product and actually really good ( just new shades). They move well with the lips and not the worst. My preference will always be more of those moussey types because they have that softness and blur. I need my kackie does colour theory and contrast TED talk asap btw! Discovering contrast is the reason why I always need a light and a much darker shade to my eyes was life changing, I always wanted to know why the 'one and done' colour thing would never work, and its because I have medium - high contrast, dark hair and eyes and pale skin. I need my shadow to follow suit. I think matte lips can suit freckled skin, but they do so in a very intense way, like off beat and unexpected.

Uuhh I love love LOVE ph changing lipstick. Smashbox o glow lipglos was my favorite for soo long. Those sort of lipglosses are just really flattering on dryish lips. Any lipsticks with „coverage“ always look terrible on me, collect in fine lines etc.

Ohhh I know you literally just said the Gucci shimmer good does not excite you, but I would love a review of high end shimmer goos. It seems like your shimmer goo round up video was just yesterday, but it was two years ago which is crazy! I feel like there are so many new shimmer goos or new to me shimmer goos like the Chanel one which is calling to me. And this Gucci one is calling to me. I know I won’t like it better than my Milk Bionic Highlight but…it’s fancy. And so I hear the siren song of high end shimmer goo. Because the Milk packaging is so underwhelming for how awesome of a product it is. Again thank you for singing the praises of the Milk Bionic Highlight because I never in a billion years would have tried it and it makes my aging face look like I got a full night of rest and am properly hydrated. It's so odd to me when brands come out with multiple versions of the same product with the same name. If it's correlating products like blush and bronzer or concealer and foundation I get it. But Tarte has three or four concealers all named shape tape. I just don't get why they all need to be called shape tape.

It really fascinates me how they keep releasing colour changing lipsticks and marketing them as something "innovative and revolutionary" when they have existed for LITERALLY A HUNDRED YEARS!

"colour adaptive" Fenty, c'mon. this is just the very old formula that i saw first in the late nineties called then colour changing. which is more accurate labeling, if you ask me. at the time it was a clear product that changed on skin to same exact pink that these current products are. nothing new here but the awesome Fenty package. hugs from central Ontario Canada ❤p.s.gotta say i love that the shape tape radiant ads used an older women to sell it...as an "older" woman myself.😊

Would love to see you try out some of the most popular glossy lip tints from kbeauty!! Olive Young has so many of them. I'm completely obsessed with them and it looks like the western market is catching up with these amazing formulas. The tints and the gloss are just beautiful. I just got the new wakemake glossy tints and they're so lovely!!

The thing with k beauty is lip colors are always in this cherry/rose pink red family that just doesn't suit me. If you know of any doing nuanced desaturated colors I'm all ears!

You might enjoy the Romand Juicy Lasting Tint in Pomelo Skin, Nucademia, Bare Grape, or Dark Coconut, Glasting tint in Vintage Ocean, or the Dewyful Water tints in Canyon or Custard Mauve? If you're not looking for a tint, the glasting melting balms are really pretty :) they're doing bogo for mother's day sooo..... (omg i sound like a sales person, I swear I'm not, just a fan! >.

@@kackie the other comment has some great recommendations. I think Rom&nd has the most extensive shade range for glossy tints in different formulas. I do find the tint to be pretty intense. Amanda Z recently tried the peripera tints and those look great too!!

I 10000% AGREE on drugstore packaging! I'm sure the formulas are great if not better than what's at Sephora but why is it so UGLY? I buy for the full experience and the pop up ad stickers all over the component keeps me far away from the drugstore. I'd rather save and buy a beautiful product inside and out

Um, until I saw that photo of the Tom Ford lip gloss, I agreed with you that I didn't need a review. But. Then. I. Saw. It. And. It. Is. Beautiful. 😳😍 So... I don't need a full length video review, per se, BUT. I would like to know if it dries out the lips before shelling out for Tom Ford prices. Like, a KZbin short? A simple photo of it post saying "good, doesn't dry out lips"? lol That's the kind of lip product I like to keep in my bag, especially the one tiny LV bag that I have (gifted), to pull out and apply after a meal at a restaurant, or walking around downtown, etc. Don't need a mirror. Feel a little happy boost when I see it.

Highly recommend Rene Furterer products for hair loss/thinning-- my hair was thinning due to medication + hormonal issues and it's really helped. Triphasic is their line for thinning hair but RF Forticea shampoo is also insanely good

Older skin mostly(at least mine I am almost 69) needs more illumination as mat shows all our wrinkles and texture. We also lose volume so maybe the ballon look is going to make us look like we have more volume in our face. You are a lot younger and this really doesn’t apply to your type of skin maybe.
