UPDATE! Can confirm: The REFY setting mist is GORGEOUS on its own as a finishing spray. Wow wow wow. So smoothing and a nice amount of dew. It's similar in effect to the MAC and the UD but a lighter mist. I haven't tried the new MAC mister though.

I’ve noticed so many talc free powders decrease the coverage/opacity of my concealer underneath!! It is so frustrating. I understand the desire to remove talc from makeup but I really feel like brands aren’t investing enough in R&D to put out a quality alternative product. I’ve yet to find a talc free powder with the cosmetic elegance and smoothness of the Charlotte Tilbury, Huda, OG Givenchey, etc. and all those are talc powders😢

I have been wearing such Kackie inspired makeup lately. I'm medium contrast and I feel like I finally got the "French girl" look by using a sheer balm (PMG Flesh 3) and a brown eyeliner (the Surratt smokey thing). I even filled the color on my cheeks before using the lip as my blush!

After a Summer of triple digit temps (115-118 at certain points) & fires, I am looking forward to more Autumnal weather. I like Light but heat kills me. It was the lack of light in Seattle not the rain that got to me. I enjoyed the cooler, milder weather & the rain kept the air clean. So I know what you mean about the Winter depressed feeling. The short daylight hours just aren't enough (we don't get snow but it can get very cold & freeze our pipes. Temps can vary by 100 degrees between summer highest & winter coldest) I look forward to being able to actually wear the clothes in my closet instead of defaulting to tank tops & sandals because it's just too hot for anything else. But it's rare that we even get a Fall anymore on the west coast.

Beverly Hills isn’t actually a new shade of the flush balm, it’s one of the original shades. I’ve had it for probably a year and a half. But the lipstick ginger is new to pair with it. Loved both shades.

Those merit balm blushes don't last 5 mins on my cheeks. They are about as useful as those liquid nars blushes were for you on me. I have combo skin. I also understand that you think that color correctors are kind of a nothingburger in many cases but some of us rely heavily on them and are very happy with the additional options. I never do a full face of makeup anymore without color correcting both my purple undereyes and my excessive rosecea. To say that nobody has additional color correction demands is incorrect IMO, but I understand where you are coming from.

I use milk and honeys rose mist as a last step when I want to wear powder instead of foundation I powder extremely lightly and it just melts in beautifully you will not see a flake it has aloe in it

Hello Color Theory Queen! I am so intrigued by these tinted powders but I am a fair-light neutral-warm olive (somewhat desaturated, but not as light or as desaturated as the beautiful Hannah - fun fact, she's the reason I even realized I was olive at all and it changed my life seriously lol). I am green/yellow and things pull pink on me (my face is redder than my body). Because I'm fair-light, in theory I would use the pinkish powders in both Kosas and Makeup by Mario... however, I feel like I'll just turn really pink and it won't work with olive undertones. Do you think the yellow Kosas powder and neutral MBB you used would work? Would the neutral MBB be too saturated and completely affect anything else on my face? Note that although I'm fair, I usually have to go "darker" in bronzers for the right undertones and pretend I'm a medium skintone :) and just use a REALLY light hand. Also needing a concealer that works for fair olives. Thoughts on the lightest Kulfi or 0.5 Kosas? looking for something a little grey/yellow. Tower 28 pulls so pink on me.

Im still curious about the Mario spray, i will say im extra regardless in that i always use Mac fix+ first for hydration and then set lol… I am finishing up the CT though and using vieve now instead. I will say i do not love CT over a light face because that ‘tight’ feeling is more apparent in that there is less underneath for the spray to adhere to.

@@kackieThey reformulated it! It used to have very little product in it and very little pigment. (About half as much product as a traditional brow gel pre-reformulation.) I’m looking forward to trying the new formula because the old one was super disappointing.

So...I can't confirm this but it's likely that D.S. & Durga have a commercial version of their retail product that has a different formulation. One would have to compare samples from both a hotel and retail versions to prove the theory. Being familiar with supply chain nuances, it would not surprise me if the hotel version was a diminished version to what can be purchased at Nieman's, Blue Merc, etc.
