Kackie, for another back to basics idea, I would love if you presented us with a master class on the fundamental differences in a full face of makeup for dry skin/oil based skin care VS combo or oily skin/water based skin care! Bah...why didn't it ever occur to me that you can buy a mini and refill the freakin' bottle? Even when I label them, I get confused with tiny travel containers..so confused I have put lotion on my head and conditioner on my legs. Kind of painful to realize that branding is the only thing keeping me on track part of the time.

I hope you feel better soon! I got a concussion at a metal concert and it definitely takes a lot out of you afterwards. Also i do that with makeup bags all the time. I started keeping a gallon ziploc for the stuff i dump out of my makeup bag 😅

Highly recommend Color Theory: A Critical Introduction by Aaron Fine. It goes through the history of different concepts of color theory and how ideas on the suject evolved from ancient times to the present.

Hi there! Is there another concealer you'd recommend for a no makeup look? The Westman Atelier breaks me out - I think it's the coconut oil. Also, how would you set no makeup look for oily/combo skin? Thank you!

I've seen Kackie mention the Glossier Stretch Concealer before for no makeup makeup. I would also recommend Thrive's concealer (can't remember offhand if Kackie agrees) as it has better coverage but still disappears into the skin. Both of these are on the hydrating side though - someone else would have to weigh in re: how they act on oily skin as I'm dry/combo. FWIW I've used Thrive on my oily t-zone & didn't get a breakout.

So sorry about your concussion. I had one several years ago and the headache took two weeks to go away. Worse, no sound, no light allowed. It was just me in bed in a dark room for most of the time. Take care. Btw, we had a rule in our 2 story place. Because our cat loved to run down the stairs and his movement out of the corner of my eye startled me so badly, the rule was to always hold on to the banister. Also a rule because I broke my hand on a stair. You may need to find a way to institute such a rule.
