Thank you for reviewing Sephora Collection. I have been SO frustrated with the deluge of Sephora VIP Sale suggestions that are all high end, costly (even on sale) items. So, I took a leap of faith and ordered a bunch of SC items online and they will be delivered today. Since many of us only get 10 or 15% off during this sale, the 30% off on SC items is especially attractive. If we can save money on some basics, then we can splurge on items that are splurge-worthy. I used to work at Sephora. People are savages with the testers. And kids would come in and DIG their fingers into cream products. We usually were too busy helping clients to clean up. 😬

As a former Ulta employee: my biggest wish at the time was that corporate would budget enough hours to give employees enough time after or before open to actually face most of the store properly. But nope! Gotta somehow get it done while customers are asking you questions/treating you as a personal shopper. I've always tried to be a conscientious customer, but since my time in retail, I go even more out of my way to e.g. put back things that someone else left obviously out of place, or point out defaced/stolen items to employees. Jfc.

@@helenap3822I never worked in retail but I still always put things back when I see them out of place or if I grab something and change my mind I take it back where it goes, even if it’s all the way across the store of a huge store. At the grocery store, it drives me crazy when people leave the freezer doors open. Like how hard is it to shut it all the way?! People ruin food leaving those open and other things get like tons of ice on them because of it. And then some other customer might not realize and buy it. It’s annoying! The other day I saw someone put a thing of strawberries on a shelf in the cereal aisle. Like okay, you decided you don’t want those and just think it’s okay to leave them sit there even though they’re supposed to be in a cold area?! I just don’t get people! 🤦‍♀️

Sephora Collection is my go-to for travel. Reliable, good quality, but not so expensive that I’d be devastated if something broke or got lost in transit. I always have the blush in self made in my travel bag (it’s so compact!) as well as a few of their mini lip liners. I also use two of their brush sets and their best skin ever foundation. While not my tip-top favourite foundation, it’s respectably good. Thanks for the reviews!

I used to work for h&m and during my time, they introduced their beauty line. Like our girl kackie, I have really expensive taste (it is unearned, why am I like this?!) and let me tell you: their beauty line is GOOD. The packaging, the product, the shades. My employment with them ended on a bad note but I’ll still sing the praises of their beauty line. … sadly we had to get rid of it at our store because people would come in and DESTROY it. It’s not even that it was too expensive to maintain, it just took too much time. Such a damn bummer. I cannot imagine working somewhere like ulta or Sephora, I would be so angry all the time at the disrespect. Also hm beauty is still available online and I highly recommend!!

I don't think Sephora Collection gets enough credit, so I'm pleased to see that you gave it a shot! I think their Best Skin Ever foundation is the shit and definitely worth the price. I also really enjoy their Lip Last Matte Lipstick. I have Taffy (which is such a weird color, but I like) and Rosewood. Highly recommend giving those a shot. They are creamy and comfortable. I currently have a couple of their old formula eyeshadow sticks in my cart that I'm excited to purchase and I may just pick up the blush in Self Made and a lip lacquer.

Nope you're not the only weirdo. Back in the day I dressed as the rabbit for Halloween party and spent the entire night not talking and standing in a corner freaking people out. My daughter grew up hearing that story and in her mid 20s decided to do the very same thing. I teared up knowing I've been the influence to her weirdness 😢😅

I picked up two shades in the sephora rouge lacquer, in Be Proud and Squad Goals (which is cooler than Be Proud, probably my ideal 90's cool toned brown lip) and I'm a little obsessed with the formula for the price. I'd definitely get at least another shade or two in this formula, so comfortable and so pretty on the lips!

Do the lip products have a scent? Also the shade 08 shok chok is incredibly nuanced. It is a bedroom, eyes brown, a little bit darker than the one you got it has a touch of war golden, but it also has a touch of cool with a hint of like a purple flip. It is beautiful. also, the mats are really good if you need mixers, like to lighten the shade to have on your desk like a white or something that’s what I do because I am like Haus 000 fair lol

Went shopping in Sephora and got a few high end bottles of perfume, and a couple of other spendy items. I went to the Nars section to get some blush, but the shade i wanted was sold out. So the sales gal actually took me over to the Sephora Collection and I ended up really liking the blushes i swatched and got three, plus some of the lip glosses that I really like as well. I was so happy that the lady brought me over there to give it a try. So affordable and the blush blends and builds nicely and the glosses are pretty too! 😌😊

Those two blushes make me want to crack out my pat McGrath blush again in flirtatious and I’m not sure if it’s the same but I think it’ll give me the same feeling. Btw I think the baked powder was also a powder foundation which might be why it has so much coverage but I’m still considering trying it because I’m paler than you. How does it compare to the hourglass powder in the jellyfish palette? Just wondering because I already have that and love it lol

Sephora products work. I wish the sold magnetic pallets so I could keep the powder singles a bit more conveniently. The liquid lip color dries my lips, but it STAYS PUT, so slap on a gloss and make do. I do not expect perfection at that price point, just function.

I either buy indie or drugstore, so I think your distaste for drugstore packaging is hilarious to me.😂 But except for NYX products I don't remember ever buying a drugstore product with shrink wrap around it. They just have annoying stickers that leave a residue. The testers at my local Sephora are really bad too. The Mothership special shades as well as Fenty and Rare Beauty lip and complexion products are always empty. The Sephora Collection testers are usually better, but they only have a few product in my local store.

After Marc Jacobs Beauty went away, this is the only eyeliner that stays in my waterline. I actually didn’t like the VB eyeliners. I much prefer these from SC. I own it in 5 colors and they are all great!

The eyeshadows are gorgeous but have the shittiest packaging ever. They always shatter and honestly unless you buy them on the sale I feel like they are not worth the price. If you order them they will 9 out of 10 times arrive broken.
