Born in kalpathy village as my mother belonged to this vilage. Sometimes attend car festivals. Pleasant coincidence self pulling the ratham in the video. Is it a blessing that I have played on the footsteps of kundukovil in front of deity in my childhood.

@@umasankar4156 mostly എന്റെ childhood -ൽ 100 % Tamil Brahmins തന്നെയാണവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. ഇപ്പോൾ ഏകദേശം അത് 80 % ആയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നാണറിവ്. ഇപ്പോൾ എന്റെ permenanent താമസം തൃശ്ശൂർ ജില്ലയിൽ ആണെങ്കിലും Relatives Palakkad കൽപ്പാത്തിയിൽ ഉണ്ട് .....എല്ലാവർഷവും കൽപ്പാത്തിയ്ക്കടുത്തുള്ള " ശേഖരീപുരം " അഗ്രഹാരത്തിൽ " ലക്ഷ്മീനാരായണ പെരുമാൾ ക്ഷേത്ര ദർശനം നടത്തുവാൻ പോകാറുണ്ട്.

@@sunderganeshanplsundergane1329 ഞാൻ കല്പത്തിയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ലക്ഷ്മിനാരായണൻ സർ ന്റെ ഒരു ബുക്ക്‌ വായിച്ചിരുന്നു. അതിൽ ഭാഗവതർ, ദീക്ഷിതർ, അയ്യർ മുതലായ ചില പദങ്ങൾ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽ പെട്ടു. അതു ഈ തമിഴ് ബ്രാഹ്മണ സമുദായത്തിലെ വിവിധ വിഭാഗങ്ങൾ ആണെന്നാണ് എനിക്ക് മനസിലാക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചത്.ഇതു പോലെ മറ്റുള്ള വിഭാഗങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഒന്ന് മെൻഷൻ ചെയ്യണേ. Eatables around the mutti and on the streets of pazhaya kalpathy, kachhati theruvu with brahmsnical taste is another fascinating aspect. Children with mutapori panju mittai and baloons are a treat to watch. Have you tried ela Adai and namkeens from Aishwarya. Walk into our dear kalpathy and enjoy the hospitality once during festival or on ordinary days. Take a darshan of the Lord and river Gange. You are blessed. Kalyan

Can anybody explain more how the Iyers and Iyengars,though both are brahmins, distinguish themselves? I think,from what I knew, Iyers consider both Siva and Vishnu as their prime worshiping gods while Iyengars are strict Vishnu devotees..

Iyer are Smarthas(Worship all gods & believe inside all gods there is Almighty) following Advaita philosophy of Adhi Shankara Iyengar are Veera Vaishnavas follow VishtaAdvaita of RamanujAcharya believe Vishnu is inside every Gods

Iyers advaita philosophy , iyengars are strong vaishnavites, though both are bhramins there rituals are different

Aupasanam, Nithya Vaiswadhevam, Hutham yennum Dheva Yajyam, Ahutham yennum Brahma Yajyam, Pithru Yajyam, Manushya Yajyam, Bhootha Yajyam, ...... All are stopped already after all Brahmins started Pauranika Vigraha / Chithrapatta Aaraadhanas. Thus all Vedhic Sacrifices were abandoned and puranic poojas are following by them. So all Vedhic Dhwijas are Converted and had departed themselves from Vedhic Heritage, And went far away towards Puranic Traditions. And also they don't know even, what the Difference between this 2 things yet ! What a pity ! What a Pity ! 😭😭😭😭😱😱😱😱😰😰😰😰
