Monte is totally dedicated to becoming a great pinstriping artist , we all wish we had the advantages he has had, and He's a really nice ,and polite young man to boot!Thanks very much for your comment. Regards, Steve

Monte obviously has skill...and it's easy to see if he continues, he'll grow that ability....BUT...kudo's to you Steve. You were friendly and helpful to this young man, sharing your opinions in a supportive way and coaching him right at a pivotal time (can only imagine saying "did my first car with Steve Kafka"). I've been around a fair amount of experienced folks...some are friendly, willing to help and teach and others who are the opposite, grumpy and not willing to give back. Nice job !

When it comes to pinstriping, it's like being a carpenter, you learn how to correct your mistakes as you go. I used to wipe off and line if I didn't like it, but I found that more times I can add more lines to make it look like it was planned that way!!

A stabilo pencil (for freehand drawing) or wax free Saral paper (for tracing a pattern). Saral paper is carbon paper that you can get in different colors. Craft stores sell it but it is expensive and they give you a sheet or two. Check online for Saral. It's a lot cheaper and you can buy rolls of it (like aluminum foil).
@maxwellkafka7 жыл бұрын
Stabilo is okay, but can leave little bits on the surface, and can melt if you live in a hot climate. A German company called Staedtler makes one called Omnichrom that works much better
