Era got cratered by the release of CC-. It split down the center with 10K #nochanges, and with CC-. The other 10K either quit overnight, or went to CC- as #smallchanges. Era was the only community decimated by the CC- drop. The Sodcore outnumber #nochanges by 6 to 1. We didn't lose our shirt when Druids were allowed to use Polearms. Era lost their freaking minds over that temporary small change to their servers. They cried and cried until Blizz pried the polearms from their druids, after just allowing them to use them.

That kind of unyielding, rigid adherence... often leads to extinction. The Sodcore, are the exact opposite. Adaptable seekers of all things new. With a eager willingness and desire, to discover new, among the old. Era is more the Flat Azeroth Society.

SOD going to tbc will literally undo all the work they did for classic+. It’s a really bad idea and I hope it doesn’t happen. We have fresh TBC coming soon.

Going into TBC but keeping the lvl cap at 60. Completing quest/challenge to open talent tree would be amazing. Would make Season of Discovery take a whole new meaning

I just came back to sod after several months off. I’m really loving it. The alliance side on crusader strike have been so fun and accommodating to level. Have even gotten several free boosts from levels 60’s and carries. I’m at 1 day 17 hours of playtime and level 54 My wish having 4 level 60’s is they rly need to try to balance PvP and add more bg content. The bg gear should have special unique bonuses that affect your rune game play.

Combining with Anniversary TBC sort of is just deleting the SOD characters and progress. As with any expansion, all your items and gains from the previous expansion are moot, as is the uniqueness of SOD and many abilities would be gone. I'd rather see them keep it as is and test ideas for Classic+, even if that means a major slow down in content. It's easy enough to level a fresh 60 in TBC for the Anniversay realms.

Why couldn’t you progress into a new “phase” Just like it was for every new part of SOD. I don’t understand this train of thought when in SOD you had to move on from the progress you gained at previous phases. If they set up SOD correctly i truly think they could execute this properly.

@@Nova_Rosa72 Well, I was more replying to the idea Khagoe mentioned in the video, that they could merge SOD with normal TBC on the Anniversary realms. That would erase all SOD abilities, etc. In terms of a SOD TBC, I would say opening up Outland is a bit more than a new "phase", but I take your point to some extent. In terms of your ladder point, I am not sure what you mean by setting up SOD correctly, but I think it would be huge challenge to try to make classes function with both SOD runes, and TBC abilities/talents. Not to mention TBC needs to be balanced given arena, etc. Given the limited team for SOD, I would think it would actually be far easier to keep working off the level 60 infrastructure.

I’d like to see them blend some of the TBC features in to SoD like Dreanei and Blood Elves, ZA, Kara, Caverns of Time, maybe even pet battling. Leave the dark portal closed. Extras that will keep players engaged and tuned for lvl 60.

Can't have too many versions of the game. They painted themselves into a corner with SoD. They can't merge SoD into Era, because all of the different items and runes. They can't leave SoD as a permanent server because it'll just compete with Era and Anniversary realms. They don't like SoD enough to turn into a "different timeline" and move into TBC and WotlK.

I know it can suck for people, but SoD by it’s very name has been meant to be temporary. Just like SoM it is “Seasonal”. It’s a testing ground. From the beginning I’ve always thought of it as a long PTR.

There’s so many questions that need answered and those questions aren’t it for me. Sure we’re all curious about where it’s going to go, but I’m more interested in where it is now and the pace that it’s pumped out things have been so fast that I feel like it just spun out and the traction it had at the beginning it just lost.. my servers completely dead and I’m thinking of transferring from living flame to Crusader strike just to have a server that semi populated. so the question is what are we gonna do with all these dead servers because I’m guessing there’s only one or two servers maybe three that are even active. sod was and is an amazing opportunity to explore so much and I’m really happy with my paladin. There’s always a little bit of tweaking that could go on, but for the most part, it seems pretty well put together. The next question is what’s the plan to bring more people in the sod I could go on, but I don’t wanna write you an article so I’ll stop here Also sidenote : you read that so fast it’s obvious you’ve read it more than once I had to rewind your video more times than I can remember. Just hear what you were saying. I would’ve been better off putting it on -0.5 speed or something so just remember that this is our first time hearing it.

I'm hoping for more content even if slower but new content. Realistically my best hope is for a Era type ending. I've really enjoyed the flexibility of the rune system overall, and specifically the improvements it's made to warrior tanking.

Id prefer to have "classic +" over going into TBC. TBCs class balance was fine so something like SoD doesn't make sense to go into TBC but if they did I'd still play it.

The simplest solutions to SoD would be: Merge with Fresh when it transitions to TBC Merge with Classic MoP Pray to god Classic+ releases after anniversary and that SoD merges with Classic+

A lot of reasons, most runes and abilities are from TBC/Wrath, and the balance around the TBC pre patch and the massive changes there, with all SoD gave us, would be a ton of work

SOD is classic + Beta. There really isn’t much development they need to do, just flip runes off into learnable skills from the trainer, have the new skills trees, keep professions exactly the same like SoD, make the leveling buff permanent and decide on which raid difficulty to have among all the various kinds we have in current raids. I just can't see how SoD characters can ever have a "permanent home" outside of something akin to SoD. We have gear that is considerably different and more powerful than Era gear, we have rune abilities that have redefined the classes and the way we play them, we will be used to world and instanced content that does not and will never exist in Era (totally new and SoM variations on raids, etc). This journey has shown me, and I have to believe many others, that I cannot go back to Era classes or content - been there and done that to death. If they tell me that my characters will just be transferred to an Era realm (TBC or otherwise) and be converted to "Vanilla" style toons, I'm done.

And on that note 😄, progressing on to a Sod style TBC experience would be cool and I'd probably love it, but when I consider that it just seems like we're kicking the can down the road further than we should. The end goal, I would hope, is a more permanent Classic+ release for us to jump into long term, and a TBC SoD is just putting off that desired outcome even longer and using up precious dev resources in the mean time.

Sod TBC would be silly. The cool thing about sod is playing classic but with more abilities. TBC already has more abilities and a bunch of content. Just give us more classic+ style content for sod plz! There’s plenty of Azeroth to work with already we don’t need Outland

My biggest concern is that the more classic + content we get in SoD, the less likely we are to get a true classic plus, where as TBC with SoD experimentation could be awesome, like what if we try TBC with no flying or something crazy like that

Theres no way a server with 150% XP merges with a Fresh Classic server for TBC, it'd be cool but the economies are so different, levelling speeds, ect ,ect.

I want sod to stay 60. Add tbc and give 10 talent points when u get thru it as if u leveled. The same with wrath. Leave the spells as they are now and then let us have TF shadowmourne glaive atiesh all battle it out. Plus ad group duels let us sit in front of org or sw and watch 1v1 or 3v3 or 10v4 groups of sizes up to 40 duel with the ability as if it's a 1v1 where others can't interfere and let everyone spectate

Said It before and will say It again, TBC makes no sense. Have the purpose of an expansion is to have new class design but that’s not needed in SoD. TBC would be a waste when Vanilla has so much to offer

@@TarnishedVagabond I honestly believe this is the Direction they will take. They said we are keeping our characters but they can't transfer these characters to Era due to specs and gear. The only logical place would be a permanent SoD area or Classic +. They probably will have 2 classic + servers, a Fresh one and the SoD one so that people can remain on the server with their guilds and stable economy. I really don't see them doing another thing with all the time they invested in SoD.

They will Never ever merge sod characters with other versions of old old Classic. Even if you strip them naked. R14 And scarablord + leveling is so much easier in sod in comparison to other versions. The only transfers off of sod i see is to retail And MOP Classic. But time will Tell. I Hope for sod era realms. Theres enough content for years

I think a TBC SoD would be cool if it started the phase roll out again at lv 1. When a phase hits where people could hit 60 rolls out we can transfer our characters over. Then we could all hit the dark portal at the same time. OG SoD could still get content pushed out then rolled over to TBC SoD.

I have been in 3 huge guilds over 600 members each and 90% of those players agree with going into tbc with sod features as it balances out well till wotlk. I only see few ppl argueing against it. We have had polls pushing for tbc, we have our fingers crosses.

SOD continues into a true Classic+ with new instances, zones, and PvP rewards/achievements/ranks. Also, they need to implement some sort of transmog into SOD. Not looking like a clown by wearing pieces from different class set at the same time should be prioritized. If you don’t want to transmog then don’t do it.
