What's very sad about this particular scene is, i believe, it is prevalent in Japan even right now. This kind of mob mentality is what makes their society toxic. Our society toxic. Its not really a counter because if she threatens him on releasing his nudes the guy would know she wouldn’t release it and even if she did the guy would also release her nudes which can destroy both of their social lives and guess who has to live with the guilt. Ishigami. Also I’m not sure if what he showed was nudes or their sex tape. If it was a sex tape, the girls life would be affected more because its her that is being recorded. You cant counter a sex tape where both parties consent.

The only sad part is we didn't really get to see exactly what KAGUYA did to help Ishigami in the backstory: She was the one who, seemingly on a whim, bring up Ishigami's situation and sussed him out to the Prez, prompting the report in the first place. She also didn't do anything to Ogino, that much is true...she just told the people who removed a previous president from the coutnry (the VIPs) the story so they "removed" Ogino.... THEY ALSO REMOVED IINO'S PART! SHE IS THE REASON ISHIGAMI GOT INTO HIGH SCHOOL WITHOUT APOLOGY. Both of these were in the chapters the episode adapted, I really wanted that Hayasaka reaction too
