Kahe Kamalakar- पंडित कमलाकर जोशी

About Kamlakar Joshi- ( 1937- 2008) Guru , Composer and Singer of Gwaliror Gharana. He was trained under Pt Vinaykarao Patwardhan, Pt Narayanrao Vyas and Pt Madhavbuva Ingle. Born in Nasik he taught classical and light music to a number of students through his music school Shreeram Sangeet Vidyalay. Later he moved to Pune and continued the teaching music. The blindness caused in the childhood did not deter him and he learnt by heart hundreds of bandish, songs and Natygeet. He was a composer and has to credit a variety of bandish forms like khayal, tarana, chatrang, dhrupad, dhamar etc. These are are published in a book with audio cd named Swarkamlanjali.
