These selections from Gibran's poems and verses have been formatted for contemplation and meditation purposes.
Lebanon-born writer and artist Kahlil Gibran (1883 - 1931) became known for his mystical Arabic and English works, most notably the 1923 publication, 'The Prophet.' Kahlil Gibran moved to the United States in 1895 and was exposed to Boston's artistic community. Initially showing promise as an artist, he also began writing newspaper columns and books in Arabic, drawing attention for his prose poems. After moving to New York City, Gibran began writing books in English. The popularity of The Prophet endured well after the author's death in 1931, making him the third-best-selling poet of all time.

Between The Tik Toks Of Time ------------------------------------------------------ I rein in my racing thoughts. I reach for the no-mind within me. And then, in the stillness between the tik toks of time, I gaze out of my eyes. And it is like a mirror reflected within itself. Like a mirror within a mirror within another. I am the inner mirror, And it is the outermost mirror being reflected from within me. It is God gazing out of my eyes. I am reflecting God. And God is reflecting me. And I can no longer find the fold between where I end and the divine begins. That is my truest self. I once walked the desert at night, And a wise man was beside me. Look up at the tapestry of stars above you, he told me. And when I did, he said: I AM there. Look into my eyes, he commanded me. And when I did, he said: I am within you, and you are within me. In the the stillness between the tik toks of time, We are all entangled into a cohesive wholeness That reflects back upon itself, Like a snake eating its own tail. In the stillness between the tik toks of time, Dwells the spirit of the divine, Shrouded in the formless void, Far from its Creations, yet intimately close.

THOUGHTS - Lili If I could grasp a single thread And take it to my heart tonight And with that thread the fabric weave The secrets of tomorrow's sight And Lo! What would we learn from that What knowledge to be cast aside? By the ones who only think Of self, ambition, Pride Why share with them so they can laugh The knowledge given us with love To cast away, deride. So when the Masters come to teach The very things we seek to learn The treasures given to the few Are theirs for us, The clan's alone And we must cleanse our minds, anew Take the draught, submissive then, atone. If we absorb, the world is ours The universe, the stars The knowledge given us this night Will take us to all Nature's door We'll fly the world within our minds This world is ours Our Paradise. But nothings given without cost, we're special to the Gods If we're impure, of fleeting mind The Spirits won't impart One word of all we have to know So if sincere of mind and heart They'll give and give, accept the flow. Into a trance we share the cup, The salt, the water, blood Within that trance we all are one The Spirits, Coven, life sublime Hold hands and lift us from the ground And circle round lifes fire tonight The joy, the love this gives to us Fulfills our lives and grants us flight. And if perchance the Gods desire After we have shown our love The bodies of the Clan entwined They give the gift of ecstasy sublime They own our lives, our thoughts, our time. DESPAIR AND LIBERATION - Lili It's so cold inside this cave, I cannot feel my fingers The walls are wet, they hold my chains The lice and fleas infest my cloak, the smell of death doth linger I'm chained within this deep dark pit, the pit of deep despair The howling now within my mind, the scream of hate remains Lord of the dark my own sweet love, I'm chained within his lair. He'll come tonight, I hope he will, he'll delve into our thoughts And bring the pain, the deep deep pain, the pain that I desire He'll bring the flesh, the Blood the Life, the Salt, the Water, Fire And we will feast upon the Flesh, the Life, the Sacrifice he's brought Once sated then begins the pain, sweet agony, Death's choir. Dogs will come, hyenas, jackals, all the dogs of Hell They'll scrounge remains, seek out weaker ones Those not deep in trance, they'll sense their fear, their smell They'll be replaced, chained, taught to suffer, O sublime But what we learn within our souls, we're slaves of all his time When our ordeal is past and gone, we'll take our place to dwell. We'll dwell within his Palace, the Palace of our Lord And venture through the world we know, when Sabbats come about We'll find the young, the curious, with Aura's burning bright They'll take the draught, the Mandrake root, and then they'll take to flight We take them deep within the cave, the circle will go on The chains the cold, the hate, the joy, the Moon, the blood, the night.

@@SamaneriJayasara Glad you like them, I have many. DIMENSIONS Lili The Underworld, the Netherworld, a place most cannot see Where people from the past exist, their time our future now When mystery of stranger things, appear we are perplexed Visits from the other side who knows what will be next? But it's not new, the ancients knew, the evidence abounds Lines of pyramids, we cross, they cross, it's all in knowing how. Within our minds if we explore, the portals as they're known The doors will open wide, some find them just by chance And venture through lost for all time, they cannot leave the trance But others from one side or both who learn the way to pass Can travel and return again, a new world, future, past What's to be gained? reward or peril we cannot just stay still We've gained the gift, we can't refuse our destiny at last. A strange new world, we learn to speak the tongues all spoken there Some we meet who've traveled too, we find we can converse We learn from them, they learn from us and so our minds expand To learning Nature's deepest truths within our Universe And when we find the travelers lost, we show the long way back Lead them to the portal's door and then they leave our hand But most have chosen not to leave, they've found their promised land. The Spirits help us find the doors, we're joined within our heart They travel with us to the door and bid us to depart We're home again but where is home when different worlds entice? I love them both, there must be more I crave for more, more worlds, more joy, more time When we return we find that time for us has all stood still But we have learned from lifetimes there and now we all must share The gifts we all have taken back, our minds, our hearts fulfilled. They call us Witches, evil beings, they'd hang us all today We don't hurt them, they would kill us if they could Wizened Spirits, they'd burn and torture, slay But if they ask we'd teach them all the secrets of the worlds The potions for their health, their own Gods will not share Now who is evil when their book, not one word does impart One recipe, one herb, one potion, one word for broken hearts.
