If you want to understand why Kai is Mr. Rover, you have to remember that everything the EXO members do is usually connected to EXO's storyline and concept. Kai's superpower in EXO is the ability to teleport, which is why in the "Rover" MV we see him blink in and out of scenes and at the end he disappears as he dives off the stage. The MV is literally showing how he is Mr. Rover -- a rover is someone who roams, travels, wanders all over the place. Kim JongIn was given the stage name Kai because it means opening in Chinese and he is supposed to be the one who opens the doors and travels between time and space and dimensions, etc. to connect all the EXO members together. In the "Rover" MV we also see him taking on different identities. It depicts the different identities or sides of his personality -- Kai the sexy, over confident on stage personality -- powerful hip-hop dancer -- or Kim JongIn the elegant, ballet dancer, etc. Also as a member of EXO, as part of their storyline, it is thought that the EXO members are supposed to be going about their tasks incognito, which means that in order to keep a low profile Kai probably needs to take on many different identities as he travels across time and space, through different points in history or to different dimensions, etc.

You do know that artists use autotune in all songs? Just because you can’t distinctively spot it doesn’t mean it’s not there. Also autotune isn’t only used to help vocals sometimes it’s used ARTISTICALLY.

Kai is an agent in the MV the theme of the MV features two movies catch Leo "me if you can" and Billy Elliot which is related to kai rover means wanderer. The album has the same beat on his B-side bomba which gives Latin island vibe.

Rover means wanderer. Kai said so in a video. This song reminded me of an Irish song about a guy calling himself a wild rover. Also there are two movie references with the IDs. One is Billy Eliot which ties into his history in ballet. The other is Catch Me If You Can. The name on the first ID is the name of the main character in Catch Me if You Can.
