Awesome video! Love how you compared the composite 480p to the Kaico Adapter HDMI 480P :)
@djm99375 ай бұрын
Great video, thankyou :) Probably worth pointing out that going down the component/composite route, you are more likely to have a lot more lag than when using the Kaico cable.

1:04 Please let me know if you can help. What is the purpose of the DB-25 connector on the back of the xbox?
@DavidAddisАй бұрын
That was for connecting to my PC, so I could upload a different BIOS. They got sent to the modchip, then I picked one using the dipswitches.

Excellent vid. 15:09 The Halo 2 devs made the visuals too dark and it still shows here. What are the really dark areas of the game like using the Kaico HDMI adapter? Are certain areas on Q'zone level too dark to play? I tried a cheap £5 up-scaler converter (composite to HDMI) but the visuals were way to dark for Halo 2 but other games were mostly fine. Didn't want to buy a more expensive converter if the dark issues for H2 remained.

I used one for a PS2 or Gamecube and those Consoles works with it too! So also highly recommend! :)

Hi! I also use one of these and record a LOT of content on real hardware. I can tell instantly from the compression under most of the text in-game that you are recording in MPEG using your capture card! In OBS, if you've a modern card, right-click, go into properties and set Video Output as YUY2. This will result in essentially lossless quality, as MPEG is a form of data-saving compression codec and what we used to use back in the day to record videos. I hope this helps!

@@kupokinzyt thank you for the tip! Next time I'm in OBS I'll do that. 🙂
@kupokinzyt20 күн бұрын
@@DavidAddis yup no problem! Remember, this is your capture card's recording codec, not actually what file format you are saving your videos in! It's okay to still save in OBS as an MP4!

I tried to play Jet set radio future with my elgato 4k x as well, mostly to plan a gameplay series but it wasn't showing it at all from my bundle disc, why?😢

Have you tried the Prozor hdmi adapter by any chance? Looks like the same thing but it’s £10 cheaper.

Just been watching your video on the kaico hdmi converter I’m thinking of getting one basically just so i can play my none backwards compatible games on my retro xbox through my modern tv it’s the 2005 1.4 model last time i played it it was through the standard component scart cable on a 1080p monitor it honestly looked better than the old crt tv.

Great video i wanted to play MOH fronline and Rising sun played them on PS2 back in the day. I never owned a orinal xbox so i have just ordered OG Xbox discounted from cex and a cheap hdmi Converter from ebay. If i decided retro gaming is for me i might purchase one of these cables 😊😊

Can never get emulators to feel the same as the original console. Haven't found an emulator that I liked. So I just got my old xbox's out tuned them up and have been buying games for them. PC was easy I just run Windos XP inside VMware and old PC games are dirt cheap.

Nope, it was a proprietary AV port unique to the (OG) Xbox.

For Xbox the Keico is a no brainer, for GC and PS2 a lot less games were 480p/720p and 480i looks washed out these days. I only kept the progressive scan games for the most part and I hate 50hz gameplay so that restricts even further. Keico stuck with 2 consoles that did 480p pretty good, Xbox and Dreamcast.

Anyone with a modded xbox with a hdmi cable that works ? They work perfect with component analog but TV's are not doing component anymore, I bought 2 hdmi products on the HDMI only TV's ( 4K ) and some games work and others get lines or fuzz out like garbage. Any legit ones ? I think a HDTV with component used is far better for the choice.
@zangl29556 ай бұрын
Best case scenario is u compare this to a 30 quid shielded component cable set on the same tv but thats a lot to spend on redundant shit so i get it. Good video though
