It's kinda hard to imagine nagito singing makoto's song, that goes for nagito's songs, I can't imagine makoto singing nagito's songs, there is also a different on the tunes(???) of the songs makoto is meant to be singing and nagito, makoto's are more upbeat(???) while nagito's is low and kind of depressing? I see the difference in the tonalities of both, I don't know if anyone else has noticed, or outright I've gone crazy I've imagined things where there aren't any, but I hear that Makoto's voice even in this song is more than a little boy singing, that Nagito's voice in his music, he sounds more serious, older, or at least that's what I hear, if I had known that it is the same actress in both, I would swear they were different voices with little similarities

@@vriskaserketvore413 as someone who never watched envagelion I can't have any opinion towards it. However I've been studying and learning about nagito for the past few years. And i have to say he is one of the most important characters from the whole danganronpa series. If it wasn't for him the characters would've died at chapter 2-3 because hes the only one who doesnt think emotionally. Not because he's a growing socialpath but because he has a illness. He's a type of character where you either hate or love because you know he didn't want to be like that, he despises his talent and this whole cycle. And he wished to actually be average, because then he would still have a family and people that cared about him. It's probably really struggling to be sympathetic if no one really showed you that in the first place. He's also really important in udg and the animes aswell. Idk what makes him sound unisteresting to you but im not shocked he has 3 songs as 2 of them being about himself and 1 about his soulmate/crush

@@Esterfox1987 I largely dislike his backstory due to it being a rather poor way to elicit sympathy from the audience (and excuse his actions), but it was just... too weird for me to actually feel bad. And no, having a sad backstory does *not* count as "depth" in my opinion, nor does it excuse bad actions. It can explain them, but NOT justify them. Plus, just because you're important to the plot doesn't make you a good character! Hinata was the whole reason Class 77 woke up, too. (Kirigiri, for instance, is important, but she just came off as a living plot device to me. AND GOOD LORD, DO I WISH EVERYBODY STAYED DEAD IN GD.) As a whole, I didn't like the cast of the second game very much! I mean, yeah, I liked Saionji, Koizumi, Mioda, and Pekoyama a lot, but everybody else (Hinata is somehow even more basic than Naegi!) was too out-there for me. (I like Saionji because it felt like the game was pushing you to hate her, but they failed and made me love her.) What's my idea of a good character? A grounded, likable character with personality besides their defining trait. (SAD BACKSTORIES DO NOT COUNT) Komaeda was too off-the-walls and too annoying for me to like him! And the game was forcing me to do so, and if I'm pushed to like something, I will hate it nine times out of ten.

What im saying is that he's not those types of characters that happen tragedies to them and you are supposed to feel bad. No, he's not portrayed like that. U can literally see he only talks more about himself when it's fte and even at the fte he tries to push you away, because he doesn't want hinata to get hurt by him. What makes me sad is how he's a cursed men who will die without someone else beside him. That's what fans like me hate. Mikan on the other hand, she's all about "feel bad for me" and shit which is really annoying. I do love mikan but not for the backstory nor for her personality. Just how she's a really skilled doctor. And for komaeda we really love him for his skills, his intelligence and personality. He does have a personality btw. He's not "hope hope despair" yknow.

It explains his manners and probably skills. He's not there to make you feel bad for him, more so to hate the shit out of him. You choose to hate him or love him. Same for akane and kazuichi. You choose to love them or hate them. Kazuichi is a fucking weirdo but in his backstory he was bullied as a kid and tried to change his appearance to appear more intimidating. Almost no one in the fandom knows that cus they don't really care bout kazu but it does add depth to him. Akane got abused, homeless and had to starve at where she was hence why she eats all the time. Now is the game trying to force you to like her character too? Idk how, when you decided to play the game but if you already got some spoilers or played because of a character then ofc you will have expectations. I played the game not knowing shit besides the anime. I saw nagito again and decided to see why people liked him so much. I hated on him and loved him. Bur after understanding his manners i felt like he deserved better. Then i re watched some of the scenes and everything made more sense now. Nowadays i have to wake up with a nagito portrait next to my bedroom door 😭. But yeah, that's all i have to say for now

Nagito isn't Makoto, but he's a dark reflection of him. Makoto is truly hopeful, but since he's also a main character in a visual novel (i.e. player insert character) he doesn't get to express his personality, or be a rounded character. It's fine, because his archetype is a bit shallow. Nagito is more isn't full of hope. In fact, he is a bit hopeless. But he tries to "create his own hope". He creates hope through orchestrating conflict that cause despair. Then he gets off with that manufactured hope. Makoto gives hope to others, but Nagito creates hope by creating despair...

Why are you using Komaeda's image despite this being Naegi's character song? Is it because it's easier to find fanart of him? Oh well. I've noticed that at least a few of Komaeda's simps (mainly on TikTok and related sites) have no idea who Naegi is due to not playing the games. Besides, a lot of people have an unexplained hate boner towards Naegi. ESPECIALLY IN GENERAL ANIME COMMUNITIES.
