How fitting that they're the two who may mess up this web of manipulation and confusion, and they may be punching a hole in it from both ends, the lower and upper decks at once. The Spiders allow the Mafia to bypass the civilian issue entirely, turning it from a war into "Famous murder thieves commit famous murder thieves on civilians as expected."

The ending thought of this video, being that Kurapika will have to deal with: Silent Majority, 4th Prince Tserri and the Kurta clan eyes, a coup plot brewing from the Justice Bureau, the Succession War itself, the Spiders and Hisoka (who he's not even aware of yet), and the Beyond / Pariston / Ging hijinks is like, such insanity when you think about all of it; it's hilarious Togashi said "I'm done with Gon" and looked at Kurapika and said, "*you*, you will shoulder the world's problems" Our boy will need to retire early after all of this if emperor time didn't eat the rest of his life while he wasn't looking

As the best judge of character in HxH, Melody is a pretty indispensable ally in the Succession War, yeah. I don't think Kurapika's lie detector chain is anywhere near as useful as Melody's subtle, always-on heartbeat detection.

It's refreshing to find someone who isn't just writing off Morena and the Heil-Ly as another side quest for the Phantom Troupe like Zazan's colony in Chimera Ant before they're back to hunting Hisoka. Contagion putting such a large point value on the princes is deliberately engineered to move the Heil-Ly into the upper decks and start going crazy. Kurapika's nen classes are also producing a LOT of inexperienced nen users in the upper decks for them to quickly and easily rack up points for Contagion if they make it all the way up there. Solid theory and a pretty convincing case that they have some help. (Also Fugetsu's my favorite and I hope she can make it through this.)

When I first read through what was out of SW, I loved it, but my jaded side concluded that Togashi's primary focus had been creating the perfect arc for his modern writing limits: enough controlled chaos to allow an abundance of cool ideas, and the freedom to drop said ideas when health concerns permit less time to write than he'd like. These videos have proven that theory DEAD wrong. When you categorize the jigsaw pieces as you've done, you start to glimpse a finished product where every little hint matters. The reveal in this vid for example that Heil-Ly HQ could very well be in the Justice wing blew my mind; this is on the level of predicting Komugi's significance after her first Gungi match with Meruem imo. I'm starting to think Benji has more death flags on him than I'd first realized. Dude is the least interesting prince to keep around on a meta level, he's been the overwhelmingly dominant force thus far and I think his death will be half-time show before the spiral into endgame. Hell a few members of his private guard have gotten more screen time than him at this point, and I feel they'd continue to act independently upon Ben's death. A Rihan/Pika battle of wits would make Light and L look like reddit debaters. Personally most excited for your take on Zhang's coins, I really have no idea where to start with him. Thanks for pouring gasoline on my passionate flame for this wonderful series.

Frankly, I was also shocked that Togashi gave us such clear hints in the mafia storyline about the Justice Bureau's meddling there. I didn't catch it on first or second reads, and basically didn't think the storylines were related to each other yet. But additional re-reads keep turning up this sort of treasure, and that's why I'm so in love with the SW arc!

Squeeze as much hxh as you can, its very enjoyable. I like the idea that nasubi is directly using morenna. It makes sense why she waited to use contagion untill the war started, has her own room on the boat and why she didnt add a 100 points if you kill the king or something. He prob said yeah kill them all, ill give you the perfect stage to get started and all your goons get free civilian access.

3:59 about the corpse room, I personally think that the last coffin is for the First King of Kakin. You see, the seed urn is just the conjuration of post-mortem nen of the First King. What do we know about aura that fuels the nen? It is life energy. For a corpse, I highly doubt there's anymore life energy stored in it after years of usage, which means it has to be refueled right? Then what good way is there to refuel the aura in the corpse? Simply transferring the aura of corpses of dead princes back to the First King is perfect. It's simply part of the ritual so that the seed urn ceremony can be done next time. And if the corpse of the First King is the on/off switch to the Succession War, then there u go, the switch that Kurapika desperately needs to shut down the ceremony (presumably by using his chain or whatever to suck the aura out of the corpse of First King)

I wonder about one thing because since Kakin mafia basically works for Kakin government, all of the mafia hideouts location were predetermined before the voyage (due to their secret passages from VVIP area to tiers 3/4/5). That's brings the question why Xi-Yu and Char-R bosses won't ask someone involved in ship built in the government about where Heil-ly hideout is. The only explanations I could think of was that she's changed her base but apparently she didn't since she still has access to secret passage to VVIP area (though Tserriednich seem to block her a way to actually use it) the other is that Heil-ly causing haos actually benefits Nasubi i. e. Kakin government because the passengers are the sacrifices that are being offered as you mentioned.

My big question with Kaiser confessing to Melody over and over is simply Why? What exactly is he trying to gain from doing it? It's obviously not working, she already didn't blush and fall head over heels for him, and even if she did, did he think she would side with him and do his bidding? He doesn't need her to be in love with him for that, and his actual and ongoing plans to use her abilities are not even connected to this confession. If he is being manipulated by someone else, they obviously left him some kind of agency so he can still operate in his job, though no emotions to act on his own impulses. So why is his only attempt at expressing an emotion probably in his life to tell Melody he loves her; regardless of if she loves him back or not? To love someone is not to be loved back, so what does he gain from telling her this?

That's a fair point to make that the JB is supposed to be impartial, and he is overwriting that impartiality under the smokescreen of love, which Melody is keen enough to realize its because he's a being manipulated. My problem is that it was an ineffective appeal, one that was also off-base for someone of legal persuasion. Melody has way more reasons to work with Kaiser than because he's fond of her, the JB is genuinely the only thing keeping Fugetsu alive right now. As for reasons Kaiser would work with Melody, if his heartbeat truly reveals its a lie, then love is not the real reason anyway; thus the question: why? It may not even really be that its a lie, it may actually be an honest cry for help. Regardless of Manipulation, Kaiser knows a lot about classical music and the emotions an artist aims to provoke through performance, and while he didn't offer a genuine emotion to Melody's performance with Seiko, he DID offer genuine thoughts about it. It may be that his character simply represents a Think-Do-Feel persona, but the Feel part of the equation is cancelled by nen. I'd go so far as to say he may be immune to Melody's Nen Music, and he may be responsible for her death.

He has the whole bit about words changing the world, wanting to do his part, he can't just stand by, etc. So he tries "conscience-driven altruist" and "smitten lover" and "genuinely sympathetic to Fugetsu's plight" and it's like he's throwing them all at the wall to see if they'll stick. And in the meantime they can't afford to waste too much time doubting his motives because he really is helping them (for now) and they need the help. As to it being a cry for help, well, I don't know if it'll go that far, but I'll give you this: I could imagine after the whole conspiracy is revealed (and he stops being manipulated/manipulating himself?) that Kaiser would say "you know, Melody actually is pretty great eh." I just don't think he can have genuine feelings for her at the moment based on how his heart is acting.

A nen ability to render you emotionless but still in control of yourself would actually be super useful as a Lawyer; especially one so high in the supreme court of a monarchy you don't agree with, and in a situation as dire as the Succession War; his safest bet would be to have it on immediately and always. It may very well be that he is so completely in control of the situation that he isn't even being manipulated by others; with someone bearing Ceasers name in an analog like this I can only imagine he isn't a weak character. There has been so much reminder about first-come-first-serve manipulation too that Kaiser would simply fly under the radar of self-manipulation. I'm sure you've already thought about this concept plenty. You are totally right that he is trying to find any reason to be a part of this war, and not letting impartiality hold him back; and he sees Melody as his perfect weapon to twist things in his favor. It really may be that he is immune to her powers and sees that fact alone as the opportunity to use her to his advantage. It may be that he loves her as a puppy, or lamb, moments before slaughter. I'm rather sure that the next time she takes the stage at the banquet, someone in the room will be wise enough to stop her performance, and she will die with her flute in her hands; kicking off the multi-tier massacre itself. She has always been a dove of peace, and with her killed in front of everyone, it would no doubt open the gates of hell. Like it or not, I don't think she finishes another song, and this is the situation Kaiser is actively trying to put her in.

The silent majority connection is interesting. It brings Kaiser into the story and as you said why is a Nen ability being used to kill small fries? The only answer I come up with is that the purpose was not to threatening Wobble but to bring the justice department into the floor. It also seems a bit overuse of the ability that might fit Morena’s crew

It is possible, and the SM User knew Loberry's name so that would fit with a premeditated choice of her as the scapegoat (putting Kaiser in Seiko's room). But then we'd have to ask how Kaiser or his manipulator benefit from the earlier SM attacks, or the later one on Myuhan. So I didn't feel it was solid enough to really pursue - I want to stay close to the evidence where I've got it.

Great Video , ive also read a theory on X that phantom troupe were not the ones who killed the kurta clan but it was someone else that took advantage of the situation. I feel like that someone could be in some way related Tsereidnich as we see that tattoo guy in the phantom troupe flashback And morena is also pretty close to Tseri so i have a hunch that morena might be involved in the Kurta Massacre Togashi is building up morena as a really important character . Kaiser is a son of Beyond, it's manipulated in a way Melody can't crack, is going for a plan that is the best for Beyond. Also he is in a powerful position like all Beyond sons.

Question. You say Kaho's body will/is/was recovered by Kakin, meaning they went to the boat in the middle of the ocean and retreaved her body. How does this fit into the current Melody plan of performing so that Kaiser could drag Luzurus body through Fugetsu's Secret Door into the boat in the middle of the ocean. Will Kacho's body be there? Will it not? is the boat still there? was the boat pulled back to the black whale? Was the now empty boat destroyed? So many ways this plan could fail if they don't test the viability of the passage first.
