Kaizo Hollow Knight - Custom Level (The Impossible Birthplace Challenge)

Modded Hollow Knight levels are finally here! With the new CustomDecorations mod by sawyer, you can place objects like spikes, sawblades, platforms, and more into pre-existing levels, and then share them with others. It's not exactly a new level, but you can essentially redesign rooms, as long as they fit within pre-existing rooms in the game.
This is a level I spent a decent amount of time designing and creating, which I call the Impossible Birthplace. It's a pretty huge step up in difficulty from Path of Pain. It is themed around speedrunning tricks for the most part, and requires some creative thinking, a lot of game knowledge, and developing movement setups to get through certain sections.
Oh, and yeah, this video was segmented. I spent like 13-14 hours making the map, so I just wanted to be done with it for now.

@@Yogurt_Ace The Hollow Knight left the abyss with the Pale King to seal the Radiance, as is shown in the Birthplace cutscene. The other vessels couldn't escape through the sealed door from where the Hollow Knight left, so they most likely went through Deepnest, with the vast majority of them being captured by Nosk, although some outliers, such as the Knight and the Broken Vessel escaped Deepnest alive.

This is why I love the modded community. When we all first saw someone speed through the path of pain we though it looked rediculous and impossible. But now if anyone here has done the path of pain you know you can do it in like 5 min or less now bc of the memorization thats been drilled into your mind. These videos take me back to that sense of this is rediculous and impossible I need to try. eventually I get to experince the joy of beating the path of pain again all because of these maps

In fairness, there isn't a single person who has beaten PoH with all bindings no hit there are a few handfull who have beaten it no hit, and a decent number who have beaten it with all bindings, but both has yet to be done. This challenge is insane, and doing it nohit will no doubt be extremely challenging, but for now it remains quite possible

That's amazing. Crazy good design to get all of that stuff in there. Once you got it built, how long did it take you to get the footage for the play-through? And out of the 12-13 hours you spent making this, how many were "learning curve" hours and how many were actual design hours?
