KAK Industry's New Brownells Exclusive Uppers & KSPEC BCGs

Luke C (‪@BallisticAviation‬) is back at GunCon 2024 with Ryan from ‪@kak_industry‬ to talk about their new Brownells Exclusive Uppers. Available in the most popular barrel and handguard lengths of the current industry, these new Brownells exclusive uppers give the user a KAK “Pentacomp” hybrid flash hider/compensator, a chrome-lined phosphate barrel, full-length M-LOK handguard, and of course a KAK KSPEC bolt carrier group. These new uppers should be retailing for around $650 and will be available exclusively on the Brownells website beginning in August 2024. KSPEC is honestly the tits with the downvent. Nicer than the carbon cutter in my SR25s with redirecting a bit of gas. Only regret is not getting the chrome one. The ideal form will be a hard chrome down vent with a Centurion Gen 2 sandcutter bolt

Not super likely, as your ammo is...leaving the gun. In the time it takes to fire your rounds, they're all gone and you're onto the next magazine. Mags in suppressor rigs already get smoked pretty hard as-is. A bit more likely won't hurt.

@@oskar6661 exactly my point. it's being chambered as it's being covered in soot thus creating a buildup faster, just like when using a suppressor. i know after getting my suppressor i wish i would have gotten a flow through as i can barely make it 5 mags without needing to clean something but it can shoot thousands of rounds unsuppressed without issue.

The process has been refined a lot over the yrs. Depends on who the OEM is. I forget who makes Expo chrome lined barrels but I've heard they're super accurate and like 100-150 bucks. If the barrels are OEM by the same ppl who do Expo then they'll prob be quite accurate. I mean Geissele barrels are CHF chrome lined and they're all incredibly accurate. Criterion makes chrome lined and they're a bit cheaper than Geissele and most would say even more accurate. So again, it depends. KAK wont skimp on barrels, pretty confident in that. Now they likely wont disclose who the OEM is but personally, I trust KAK

@@joshuabruce9920 Nobody chrome lines a barrel to increase the accuracy though. It's done to increase durability and ease of maintenance. Yes, chrome lining methods have been improved and the negative affects on accuracy are negligible in comparison to older methods. That doesn't mean that chrome lining increases accuracy though because it absolutely does not, it simply doesn't have the negative affects it once had if done properly.

It's a normal factory AR upper around $600...it'll do the normal 2-3 MOA that all AR's will do.

Hop did a test of those types of BCG's, there's virtually no difference in terms of carbon buildup on both the bullets and the magazine over a standard BCG.
