This … changes my opinion of audiobooks.
@hariman77274 жыл бұрын
Personally, I listen to the audiobooks for convenience more than anything else. I can't do other things while reading a book, but listening to an audiobook means I can "read" at work after the store closes for a couple hours, while still working. The Graphic Audio version is really good too, but I find the music to be distracting too. I want MY imagination shaping the image of the book, not the imagination of the Graphic Audio director.
@hariman77274 жыл бұрын
@@COSMEREAUDIO I do use reasonable quality around head phones. It's an audio balance and audio density issue. To me, and I repeat, TO ME, the music is essentially blaring in the background, distracting from the actual text of the audio.

I've read multiple times that Moash was the dark path that Kaladin could have taken and I hate it so much that people think this way. Kaladin rather committed suicide on multiple occasions than causing harm willingly. The Stormlight Archive is about people being responsible for their own actions. Kaladin blaming Lighteyes despite always behaving like one himself. Dalinar having to deal with Rathalas, Shallan lying to herself about her mother and the first spren she killed. Moash had a tough time, but in the end, we are all responsible for our own actions. Saying we are a product of our environment is just too easy of an excuse.

@@evelynbasham1673 yeah, what I said is pretty petty, lol. And for that matter, even Lopen said "I will protect those who cannot protect themselves", so maybe the second one IS set in stone!

@@silvermagpie1071 Not petty, just trying to find the correct context for how the oaths work. Each order's oaths are different, but they do have focused values per order. The words are not as important as what each oath means toward their values. Some orders have more straight forward values, like Windrunners. They are about protecting and leadership. So each level of oaths are going to be in the same spirit. Whereas Lightweavers are all about understanding your personal truth, which will be different for everyone. So they don't have word oaths for each level. Until we know more this is about as much as we can put together. ;)
