6:55 maybe the companion on the left is a Daemon? If you zoom in it looks like there’s spikes growing out of its legs. The pack it’s carrying is about the size of the daemon egg from one of the first teaser trailers and there’s also a Daemon in the promo art next to Jun. The “Daves” are featured heavily in the book too so I’d be surprised if we didn’t get a Daemon companion in the game.

I've watched the whole stream and it was so refreshing hearing them speak so passionately about the game and the progress they've made. It gives me hope knowing they have so many pros at sci-fi working on this. Fingers crossed it comes out 2025 🎉

I honestly don’t think you’re delusional. I believe you when you say that the game is coming out next year. If it wasn’t coming out for a couple of years, I think it would be kind of odd to reveal so much so fast. And the people making these games this is not their first rodeo. They have a lot of experience with games and even if they weren’t directly attached to the marketing teams would have built up some experience in the best ways or what a bad idea for how to market a game would look like to avoid some of the bigger mistakes that others have made. So in the context clues, I think it is revealed that whether or not they wanted to say it out right that by the end of next year this game will hit.

@ if these were rookie game developers, I would say that they were being a little too eager, but these are the people who’ve taught the last generation or two how to design a video game and I’ve taken part in some of the bigger names that have won awards. These guys wrote the book on half the top sellers on what a video game is supposed to look and feel like and how a story should be written to appeal to the audience. They’ve even asked about turning exodus into a movie, which could very easily be done.

honestly it depends on when it gets to alpha, then I would say 6-ish months after that. My bet would be they are hoping to get it for fall of 2025 and if they can't make that timeline then spring of 2026.

The gameplay and looks really reminded me of ME - in a good way- BUT the twist with time delation and all "aliens" being basically humans or enhanced animals makes it different enough to be it's own ip. Hope they keep up building the history and origin and that we can see more gameplay soon!

They are absolutely waiting for the release date reveal solely because of GTA. Look at TGA, so many games did not have release dates so they can avoid competition.

Kala you know that GTA VI is coming out the fourth quarter of 2025 right? And the fourth quarter is probably the earliest this game could come out. For a new IP from a new studio releasing Exodus the same quarter as GTA VI would be game suicide. I truly think they’d be safer releasing in 2026.

I think your video got messed up during upload. For example, at 10:05 you mention we see the lady with the egg backpack, but we don't actually see her until 10:20. And the video at this point is basically 1 FPS. I was confused a lot earlier because you kept saying we're seeing something but it wasn't there until later. It seems like every time that happened, the frame rate dropped massively. Not sure if that was an upload issue or if it was an export issue. Just thought I'd mention it. It's not a terrible thing, but just didn't feel like what you wanted.

Loving the heavy Mass Effect influences in the visual style and gameplay. Also enjoying the glimpses of Jun's personality that we got to see. Hoping against hope that the helmet doesn't mean we can't have longer hairstyles, but I have a feeling we might be stuck with short ones. Oh well. Small price to pay for everything else we seem to be getting.

Hold on, I never really heard much about the story or maybe I have forgotten about it. But with what we know of the story and main character so far, alongside the world we’re being introduced. Why does this seem like the initial idea for Mass Effect Andromeda with some tweaks and changes? I mean, Jun out here having a gauntlet for technology they discovered (Ryder awakening the remnant with SAM) and humanity travelling to a different galaxy (Andromeda Initiative).

When I watched it myself I also thought that those two guys are Gideon and Orion (they do look related to Jun from this trailer) but the woman in white being Ava seems like a wrong guess. From other shots with her she looks like a companion and fits the fourth slot of companions from game's website which leads me to conclusion that she can't be Ava because I don't think they would make a companion out of protagonist's mother. Other than that, good breakdown.

I am bothered about a very small detail with Tom, and I honestly guess it doesn't mean anything at all, maybe it was a technical issue or something, but his younger self had more scars on his face and a (extremely cool) tattoo on his hand that I don't see on aged Tom at all - I'm also troubled by the having been introduced to him as a companion as his younger self and that in game he's actually older. It is nothing at all, nothing wrong with getting old, but that disturbs me a bit to be shown a companion and (it seems) it's actually another version of him that we actually get

The celestial tech/ruins is reminding me of Andromeda’s Remnant stuff, which isn’t great. Hopefully it’s more interesting than that. But otherwise there’s a lot to get excited about. The time dilation mechanics and the awakened animals are especially intriguing.

If tha's our ship I wonder where her weapons are? One thing I think about both the Mass Effect setting and the Exodus setting is they are both universes where only an idiot would use an unarmed ship for deep space exploration. in fact I think doing so in Exodus would be even stupider due the much longer travel times. Decades or centuries are plenty of time for an enemy force to set up shop in a destination system, for a Traveler's home to fall to an invasion, or for political changes leading to a new regime hostile to a Traveler coming to power on their homeworld.

I'm really looking forward to this overall, but I think the design of Elise's mech is all wrong I can't figure out how or where her body is supposed to fit inside. 1: genetically engineered, not "born to"? i could swear that was a change from earlier info on Jun's bio on the site 2: how does the techno rot work, when your slipping forward in time untold number of years (at some point a decade was mentioned) if your also constituently changing up the tech, wouldnt the rot also effect that? 3:the stealth mechanic has me curious, never been all good at it myself in rpgs, curious if as stealth build is viable given the branching (also your jun isnt so much a soldier as an explorer 4: do you think the game will have the same mechanic that'll change what the orion and eva look like? do you think jun was built with cherry picked DNA and wont have any physical similarities to either? is it possible, that gideon and jun arent 'born' so much as constructed or 100% lab made 8.5/10 traler, not enough variety of npcs but otherwise beautiful trailer and cant eff'n wait
