பழ.அதியமான் புத்தகம் படித்த தாங்கள், பராசக்தி படம் பார்த்த ஞாபகம் இல்லை என்பது ஆச்சர்யமான விசயம். கலைஞரின் 27 வயதில் பராசக்தி வசனம் எழுதிய பொழுது, திமுக வாக்கு அரசியலில் ஈடுபடுமுன்னர், கலைஞர் என்ற பேரருளாளன் மனதில் தோன்றிய சிந்தனை கை ரிக்‌ஷா மாற்றமும், குடிசை மாற்று வாரியமும் , பிச்சைக்காரர் மறுவாழ்வு இல்லமும் குடிசை மாற்று வாரியமும் நீங்கள் சொல்லும் புரட்சிகரமான திட்டங்களில் ஒன்று தான். அதற்கான சிந்தனையும் கலைஞரின் 27 வயதில் தோன்றிய சிந்தனை

It is Dr.Kalaingar who banned kai rickshaw and gave cycle rickshaw but MGR by acting as rickshaw man got credits . What an irony.

sir,that also is a scam only,thats why he crossed,after demanding bribes from everyone around TN,UPIs gave only small portion of 20 lakhs to govt in 1969,then too after question arose about why procurement was not yet done,they did it in 1973 after 4 yrs,as he clearly stated,already cycle rickshaws were in huge numbers,so even those 20 lakhs wouldnt have been used

Around 1957 - 58 , Me , my sister and brother , we used to go to the school in this Kayi Rickshaw from Santhom area to Royapeta. I remember the rickshaw puller name . He was one Durai. Now at 77 age , I really feel bad about it .

Sir, this brings reminiscent of the free cycle rickshaw project. The rickshaws were assembled in Tansi wood work unit in Waltax road. I recollect about 1000 of them made with association of Tansi engg unit also for the mechanical aspects. Lot of carpenters worked. The wings of the rickshaws were made with red cedar wood which while makjng makes a very pleasant smell and you will feel like biting it. I was informed many industries contributed and others to number of rickshaws making. I was working in the unit then and seen the preparations.

Very Nice Sir. As correctly said changes taking place but we expect the present mode of transport auto to operate meter and charge. Of course petrol prices are increasing it will have pleasant journey for auto users to operate meter. Yes it Is possible when MNCs are present in this trade. As MNCs do why not GOVT participate in this trade through out sourcing under its control or be strict in operating meters for the public travel

In my own village there were many leprosy affected people, why my own relative was also a victim of leprosy. Now there is no one with leprosy in my village. Similar is the case of early blind I saw in my childhood days. They had underwent the catrat surgery operation camps

Even cycle rickshaw peddling is tough.One gas to apply more pressure to run it It is not a smooth affair.I once ttied to drive a cycle riksha withou passenger and found it tough to run it.

Even before DMK came to power in 1967 it was MGR who magnanimously donated 1000 cycle rickshaws out of his own savings. If undue credit is given to Karunanidhi it is bcoz Karunanithi, as CM, donated cycle rickshaws not from his pocket. Whereas the philanthropist MGR provided raincoats & cycle rickshaws from his hard-earned money. So who's great ?

I don't think so . In hand rickshaw , you have to balance the load , any movement of the people sitting will cause imbalance . So, pulling kayi rickshaw is difficult .
