A super insightful interview Ann and Nancy did on PBS to promote their book, Kicking and Dreaming and the Strange Euphoria and Fanatic albums. The Wilson sisters talk about their fans, their process of creating music and reflect on their storied career.

I've loved Heart for many years. Always from a balcony or rear of a stadium. Until.....they came to Kansas, about 2005ish, to the State Fair. The lady I happened to be family caregiver for secretly bought tickets and then surprised me with the concert. State Fair venues do have a smaller venue that's more intimate than a large large venue. Since this lady was handicapped, she got tickets down front for her and her aide. 25-30 feet from them big azz speakers, and the front of the stage, where I was treated as though I were one of their traveling Fans, singing Crazy On You with Nancy, even though they never saw me again. Two of the most dynamic, elegant, Rock n Roll ladies in the world. I shall pass from this world one day and I'll still be a fan. 😊❤️

2 amazingly talented and humble women. I consider growing up listening to their music an absolute privilege. They inspired me to pick up my guitar when I was 12 and here we are now 35 yrs later and they continue to inspire. They're the main reason my daughter picked up drums. My daughter and I love jamming to heart songs together. Thank you for these precious memories 💖

Great interview and style. The Wilson Sisters have been keeping it real since they started. Heart first broke out in Canada in 1975, where they'd moved to Vancover and recorded their first album. Their big break happened when they were an emergency fill in at a concert backing up Rod Stewart in Montreal. I was 15 when Dreamboat Annie came out. I was all in at first listen on the radio.

Both gorgeous in many ways. Ann and Nancy wrote and performed stellar songs that really pierced the hearts of millions. Their voices and harmonies are so blended and their talents are out of this world. Beatlemania ran in their blood and it reflected the greatness of the Fab Four in their songwriting and performances live and in the studio. These two sisters are role models for the rockers who avoided the enigma of stardom not into drugs, etc. That is very admirable for their strong character and fantastic music. Our hearts congratulate them for music well done!

They seemed to have a hit in every decade. I liked them in the 70s as a kid but didn't get to really know them till the 80s and mtv. I feel respected and acknowledged and very, very happy. I cannot believe i get to see her/ hear her up close. Hope i can hold it together. She was so important to me growing up. She and Robert Plant I have immense respect for, not only their past contributions but to their continuing dedication to their craft.

19:25..I was a traveling front row fan..many shows over many tours. But when Heart opened for Def Leppard in 2011, I saw two shows. Problem was those tickets were so inflated$$.I got Def Leppard VIP package for good seats, and traded my Def Leppard swag and our seats after Heart (never saw Def Leppard and didn’t care) for a Def Leppard fan’s great photos of Heart, later emailed to me. 😆 Great times.

I remember listening to them in the late 70s. They were awesome! Never gave it any thought back then how hard it was for them having to prove themselves as women rockers. Just really enjoyed their music and had a crush on both of them. By the 80s I lost almost all interest in rock music. What they said about imaging during the 80s was true. The music really did suffer. Nothing like the late 60s & 70s.

And right as you say. You were natural (ok: you call it hippies). That is how we like it/I resonate to it. After that the big money comes in and: forget it being natural, unless you are inhuman. I recently saw how Miley Cyrus was singing at age 17 and then 10-15 years later, she still has the same character, but my lord, how much more pressure does she has to sustain. And how different she looks. It is a continuous fight to remain the same authentic person once the spot lights are turning on you.
