This was my 95 year old father's favorite show. I was his caregiver in his final years and we'd watch Big Bang Theory together. Last fall when I told him the show was going to end we were both sad. We speculated on how they would end it. Unfortunately, my father passed away in January so when I watched the final episode tonight my Dad's recliner chair was empty. It was a sad night for me on many levels.

Well, I just can't believe the show is ending. I have been very fortunate in that I know someone who works on the stage of this show and I have been able to see the show being taped AND visit with the staff, cast, and crew afterwards on many occasions. All of the actors are super nice and very, very humble. When I would thank people for their continued work they would always say, "On no, we should thank you." I mean, can you imagine? Of course all the actors loved the show, but it particularly shone thru with Johnny and Melissa Rauch. Those two would stay around for a hour or so after the taping to talk with visitors, crew, etc. And remember, that Tuesday night taping was the end of their very long work week. Melissa became my favorite actor over the years specifically because of this. I will so miss this show. Truly a comedic highlight to me and so many fans. Everybody involved should be super proud.

Show is ending because Jim wanted to move on. A spin-off possibly in the works with raj and Howard. Chick Lorre wanted two more years but Jim turned it down. To bad they could not compromise or at least one more year and % of royalty’s. Either way the fans still get young Sheldon.

I'm glad that they decided to end the show and not keep it going without Jim Parsons. As we've seen before with shows like ''That 70's Show'' and ''Two And A Half Men'', continuing a show without the main character doesn't fair well at all and ends up damaging the shows legacy. The Big Bang Theory wouldn't have been the same without Jim Parsons in it and would have done the show more harm if they continued the show without him, especially if they tried to replace Jim Parsons with someone else. So it was a good decision that they ended the series with all the original cast members still in it.
@bubbasmith73125 жыл бұрын
I just wish somehow that Jim Parsons would stayed on for at least a couple more seasons, then they could have wrapped everything into a neatly bow within the two extra seasons. Even though I had a conversation with my girlfriend around season 10 telling her how Sheldon is not like a robot anymore and a lot of the barriers they had to overcome they already did, it's no longer about a show of 4 smart misunderstood older children hanging out together some of them had kids wives stuff like that at this point, so I thought the show was ready to end back in season 10 because it was no longer the show we started watching. But I'm pretty sure if they did a couple more seasons it would still be just as loved

I remember the first episode airing in Italy. I was 9 years old. I couldn't really understand a lot about many things but it was fun. I'm in university now. I watched the last episode crying and it's a tv show I grew up with and it was important to me watching it with my parents. A clever tv show, really well acted and it taught me a lot. It's fine to be afraid of something but if you manage to do it, you'll be proud of it forever. Growing up it's hard and sometimes you can't make every dream come true but you can love your present for how it turned out to be. Women can do science, they are great at it. Also... I just want to say that marriage isn't only the love for each other but for something in common too. I get why in a certain way Sheldon felt like the asimmetry was the best part of the day (maybe for a different reason lol) the way they did it together it felt like love for something that link him to Amy. Happiness is not only to be found in love toward a lover but also toward a friend. A woman can have babies and a carrier and be great doing both. Relationships with parents can be hard but sometimes if you fight for your truth they can learn from you as much as you did from them. I know I said a lot of stuff but damn my children will watch this tv show. I'll rewatch it a lot for sure.

My son was 6 when Big Bang started. He'll be 18 this September. He lost interest in the show the last few years but I stuck with it, That ending...got a little sand in my eye.

Wow I cannot believe the show is over I love this show it became one of my top favorites of CBS I'm going to miss all these cast especially Amy I remember her from Blossom and when she came back into the show to act again I was so happy to see her again but now to see her go again with this show finishing it was heartbreaking I wish the whole cast nothing but the best in their future

Though I felt sad to see it end I am happy to see it get the closure it deserves. I’m also happy that the characters are moving on with there lives which is something a lot of the fans have been demanding for some time now. I’m also happy to see the elevator fixed that was a nice surprise.

I absolutely loved the finale and teared up during Sheldon's speech. I had hoped Amy would be pregnant rather than Penny, or at least that Sheldon and Amy had talked about it more than just that episode where they go to babysit Howard's children. I had also hoped Raj would get a better ending, maybe that he found someone or got married or maybe even something that has nothing to do with relationships but that gave him a better ending in the show.
