@IDGam3r Evolution is not observable. Therefore evolution fails the first step of the Scientific Method. Therefore, evolution does not qualify to be a theory. Evolution is not science.
@gregorymoore28774 жыл бұрын
@IDGam3r Science is only applicable to natural things. When you are talking about God, you are talking about something supernatural which is beyond the scope of science. Evolution is not observable and is not science. How can we know how long it takes? Millions and millions of years from which stage to which stage? Before we talk about how long it takes, we should probably first scientifically prove that it happens at all. Which we can't because it's not observable and therefore not science. Belief in God requires faith, not science. Faith and science are not mutually exclusive. We use science to learn about the natural world. We use faith to learn about God. Have you observed what happens in the after life? Has anybody observed that there is no Heaven and no Hell? I've never heard of anybody making such an observation. If that's the case, then that's not science. Remember: step 1 of the Scientific Method is to make an observation. If you have not made an observation, you're not doing science.

@@logiknotlogic6586 There are actually over 80 whole world flood accounts from thousands of years ago, it seems to be in every ancient culture. In the year 2000 science proved we ALL share family DNA. This was disproving deeply held beliefs of past ideas of science that were actually very racist. Some flood accounts include someone with a name like Noah with his family and other details that are the same as the ones found in the over 2300 year old Dead Sea scrolls of the pure Jewish and Christian teachings. Not a single account is cute other than what might be found not in scripture or history but in children's story books. The flood was said to cause worldwide death and temperature changes seemingly resulting in a more broken world. See the snow, beasts, shortened life spans, and seemingly volcanic ash written about in Job 38-42 of Jewish, Christian, and Muslim scripture with an app like Bible gateway. People were told over years of what was coming and they rejected the warning and died in their pride. Even after the flood there was issued warning and promises no kids book on it is going to get into. With sea shells on the tops of mountains, fish bones in deserts, and giant beasts extinct, why wouldn't there have been a catastrophic worldwide flood with temperature changes causing extinctions and population loss six thousand years ago? You know, at the start of written history, where it was written about. I can't prove God is real to you. You also can not prove to me he is not real. You also can't tell me I have not experienced him. In the "story" people are given the truth about a future event that can happen and they are given a chance, but in their pride, they choose to reject their loving creator and his only good and wise ways in favor of mocking their only chance at a savior by making themselves little gods. It doesn't work out for them, but it was their choice. God wouldn't force himself on them. Hell is literally eternal separation, a rejection of God when he reaches out to you. They didn't just choose death, they choose hell. I am sure you have heard people say read John 3:16 & 17. Yes, read John 1-3 even if you have read it before. God loves you, why wouldn't he love his own creation and plan for you to be here?
@logiknotlogic65863 жыл бұрын
@@SRose-vp6ew firstly, Im not christian. Secondly Im not trying to change your beliefs too. I mean, floods happen all the time and mega events might have actually happened. But as a few sources say, it definitely did not flood the entire Earth. That is undebatable. And please send some sources to prove your point. There were other mass death events like the black death epidemic in the 1350s which killed 75-200million people. If that happened a few thousand years before that(when religions were forming and religious texts were being written), religious texts would instead have something about demons sent by satan to capture and torture the souls of those who werent believers or whatever. Point is over thousands of years, you cannot know the whole truth. Believers themselves are full of inconsistencies. There are the super faithful ones that always go to church and keep praying and preaching, then you have those that go to church occasionally, then you have those that go once a week, then you have those that dont go at all. But all of them believe that theyre on good's side. Shouldnt god not be happy with those who just believe in him but dont go to church or pray? This is just one of thousands. To me, the main point of religion is to keep people good. "Do something bad and you'll go to hell where you'll suffer for eternity" seems like an awful convenient way to keep most people good and its worked so kudos to whoever came up with that idea thousands of years back. Just because I don't believe doesn't mean I wont do good. I still have a moral compass and I don't need god for that. But right now, god and religion are losing their grip on people. Crimes are done in the name of god. Take extremists of any religion for example.

I love how the woman has no filter but if you pay attention, she's completely openminded to other people's believes.

In the hyper, "I'm offended!" way people think today, some people don't realize she's trying to be respectful to Howard and Raj and not offend or be disrespectful to their beliefs.
@Romczy3 жыл бұрын
Yep. Being "offended" is a scourge of XXI century
@spectralanalysis3 жыл бұрын
Even if she was ignorant of how disrespectful her statements, that doesn't mean she was not being offensive. It would have been worse if she did know her statements were insensitive. In addition, she resorts to stereotyping, which is also inappropriate, and her categorization of races/ethnicities signifies that the more important race is the caucasian race and that other groups are uniform entities with few and ignoble qualities. To recognize the diversity of other races or to have the tact to not generalize is to acknowledge different cultures and not suggest that your culture is superior or more important. Mary also says that one would usually think of white people not wanting to date people of other races, even though this isn't a statement/thought that should be made aloud as it acknowledges an unfortunate norm. So reducing people against Mary's actions as merely being too sensitive is quite narrow-minded.

@@spectralanalysis gotta love how liberals have to write a fucking thesis statement just to say "people arnt allowed to say things i dont like." just admit you think 1984 was an instruction manual not a warning and move on dude.

@@spectralanalysis She's not racists that's just how southerners talk and if that offends you you have VERY, VERY fragile skin. If she was racist she wouldn't have included Raj, and Howard in the prayer, if she was racist she wouldn't have even asked them about their problems and TRIED to help in her own way. If she was racist she wouldn't even ALLOW her son to be near anyone of another race and if she did SHELDON himself would have picked up on those racists habits himself and be a racists, himself. The fact EVERYONE is so fucking fragile it's fucking pathetic, they're just words. Get over them and stop being a 3 year old.

Metcalf is an accomplished performer of stage also. Watch her small but standout performance in Oliver Stones' JFK (1992).
