Bloody brilliant review! Wanted to add, if you are not mixing/mastering/producing, you can be a little more liberal with where to place the sattelites since you're not going after 100% accuracy. The system is incredible for gaming and spreading the sattelites a little wider pretty much puts you inside the game and its magical =] Cheers all =]

That’s awesome, Lev! I didn’t try gaming with them - generally my channel is for pro audio recording - but that’s something to try! This is great info! Kali Maa!!

As a Kali Audio dealer and of 1984 vintage myself, I approve of this message. It's good to hear the Kali units getting the credit they deserve.

Totally agreed! I reviewed the Kali Audio LP-6 ones as well. They’re fantastic! You were born in ‘84? Nice! That song I played while I was slowly zooming in and turning to black and white was a song I wrote some years ago. Haha. Back in ‘84. Cheers, Brad!

First, I've gotta say you kept me smiling through the whole video. Second, I bought a pair of these to try along with some other studio monitors. Today I put them against a pair of Neumann KH120's. Well let's just say the Neumann's are going back and the Kali's are staying. You cannot beat the punchy bass, crisp high end and the clear and present midrange.

Woo hoo! You gotta love these monitors! Kali rocks!

D'artagNIaaaaaaan! I want the IN 8s next. But I have to finish my studio first. Hopefully we don't all get nuked before I get a chance to enjoy a well treated room. Superficial much? Not really. It has taken decades to get to a place where I can isolate one room in a little house we are finally buying. Sacrifices were made. Animals were rescued. Weight was gained. Ears were mistreated. Jobs were lost and gained. Savings were lost and rebuilt. Hunger was realized. broken cars were ignored. I want my Mtv damit. Great video and fun as usual. The audio was a tad -in a mid range box- this time? Or maybe I changed my headphones...? Anyway I noticed a very different audio experience this time up to and including the very subtle music fading in. Good work. Your levels are always really good.

Hey Matt! Hahaha. Well done! You must be so excited! I did swap to the Sennheiser MKH-416 for this video and I usually use some acoustic panels on my table top to help quell reflections, but totally forgot to do that this time and realized only when I hit record and heard the comb filtering happening. I decided to just use it anyway. Good ears!

Having done a lot of rotoscoping for light saber videos...... (I'll let that sink in for a second)... I can say your roto for the 68% nerdy stuff is extremely well done.

Oh. Haha. Thanks, Trev! I’d love to take all the credit but I cannot. It was 100% the subject masking feature in Davinci Studio! I just double the clip, select myself, motion track it, and put the text between both clips. Haha. I’m glad it looked good though! Cheers!

You could have used the SR3D binaural microphone to give your users what it sounds like there - if you had thought on Nathan! edit You as an audio engineer with an SR3D binaural microphone in your possession should have realised this, so.... am on the next plane to make you re-edit this video..
@TheRecordist Жыл бұрын
Hahaha. That’s a cool idea but sadly would not be a fair representation as all mics have their own color. Hahaha. Wouldn’t that have been awesome though! It really is a fabulous idea!
