Kalilah I love your enthusiasm, I know that you are genuine and want persons to do well. Just a word of caution. In the 1980s Seprod went public not one of its managers bought shares that's what our MD John Harrison told us. As you know the management of a company is very important in investing in that company. Seprod sold the shares to us workers for $2.50 most of my fellow workers couldn't afford it, the MD had a meeting with us in the canteen he encouraged us to buy shares and said he would inside and outside where it was more expensive. In a month it went from $2.50 to $5 a 100% increase. Everyone started buying stocks but it takes on average 10 years for the stocks to really give good return. Poor people can't wait that long and 60% of Jamaicans earn the minimum wage, Ralston Hyman. Affordability and time. Please address this thanks.

Hi Mark, it is true that stocks should be considered a medium to long term investment. Many people use it as retirement savings. But there are prospects for short term gain too, if you pay attention to the market. Btw this Seprod shares are now worth $50 each! A 1900% increase!
