@@TipsKalimba Thanks but nails? I find Lingting's tines are smoothest. So easy to slide it(when we play 4 or 5 tines at the same time). I got a Gecko and the tines are ok. Also have a cheap Kalimba and the tines are yikes! I had to change them... Am not sure about other brands' tines...

Around a month ago I decided I want to get a kalimba and even chose the specific one I wanted, soo I go check the shipping costs and turns out for every single seller on Aliexpress it's ranging 50-200 us dollars... It's most likely that way because of the corona situation but it's extra annoying because for most the surrounding countries the shipping is free + other websites usually don't ship here so Aliexpress is probably the only place I'll be buying from. So yea it seems like I won't be getting my kalimba anytime soon :(

Has anyone tried the kalimbas you see advertised as hluru with the hole in the base and not under the tines? Are these just like your average hollow?

Hello po. Good evening po. It's late na po to ask this question. It's okay if you answer na po tomorrow but do you recommend any type of kalimba po ba for wide thumbs and nails po? The shape of my thumbs is kinda wide po same as my nails. I always nail file them so when I play, I don't mix it with other tines :(( I always have to redo my recordings bc of it po :(( thank you po!
