She thought in the 80s/90s or whenever this was and on camera, he would repent and apologize. She didn't care about the remark, unless she's really dumb (which is possible), she knows dude lived in another time, so this really means nothing. She was looking out to humiliate him, nag at him or get one over on him. And he didn't take the bait, he remained entirely composed, calm, confident, stood his ground and she couldn't do anything but to fuck off. He handled it like a boss.

@The Law It's sociopathic to resort to hitting someone when they nag you, instead of you just leaving like a normal person
@edawg7923 жыл бұрын
@The Law Fists are never an acceptable response to nagging, you sociopath. Grow up and learn to control yourself. If someone is being emotionally abusive you need to leave them, not hit them.
@edawg7923 жыл бұрын
@The Law I've been bullied, hit, verbally abused, all of it. All you have is weak excuses for violence. Separating yourself from a bully is not "capitulating", it is strength. Hitting them is not valid unless you are defending yourself or someone else from physical harm. I condemn bullies and emotional abusers, I also condemn people like Sean Connery who say it's ok to hit a women if they nag him. I'm not sad he's dead.
@edawg7923 жыл бұрын
@The Law You're not making any argument beyond "men have it tough, therefore it's okay to lash out physically". We're talking about the way things ought to be. I can comprehend that a person can get fed up and lash out physically, but I do not support that as the way things should be handled. Nor have you explained at ALL how physical violence is supposed to solve any of the problems you're talking about. There is one solution that does: separate from the person. You simply refuse to accept this because you enjoy the concepts of vengeance and retribution.

See, when a man speaks to another man, the threat of violence is always on the table. It's understood that there is a line and if you cross that line, you get blasted in the face and it's totally acceptable. Sean is talking about women that have zero respect for that line. I'm not saying it's OK to hit a woman, but any rational adult knows what he's talking about.

I had a girlfriend who at four in the morning stood in the kitchen of our apartment and screamed things at me, long, high harangs with a lot of cussing words. And I asked her to stop and please think of the neighbours. I asked her time and again, I begged her, but she continued. The she got hold of the window that stood open (this was in the midst of a very hot summer) and banged it to the wall, making a huge flower pot crash to the floor. By that, I could hear all the surrounding apartments waking up. Then I made the decision: I was going to slap her, and I did. Only once and with an open hand. That finally stopped her. I didn't have a problem with my neighbours before that, but since she moved in things got chaotic. I am SO glad we are not a couple these days.

+Ohl Gamondo Oh yes I am "so disgusting". Sorry but you have absolutely NO idea what a sort of person she was. And I bet, even if you could somehow understand you would never admit it.
@dracopticon77888 жыл бұрын
+Ohl Gamondo First of all: I don't live in the US. And secondly, I lived with this so called "woman" for four years and eight months and during that time SHE beat me several hundred times, by biting, hitting me, kicking me and generally being an animal totally out of control. And yet, it's me that is "horrendous". I can say, could you ask the neighbours in the block where our apartment was situated they would ALL tell you she was a complete horror. I developed a technique of seeking protection behind doors in the apartment, so there were quite a few doors that was kicked in by her, of which I later had to apologize to the owners of the apartment building. She never once took that upon herself. The story behind her behaviour, I assume comes from living with an earlier man who litteraly beat her almost to death. I met her half a year after her time in hospital from this. And I am not a man that usually uses violence against women. But since I am that kind of person, I understood later that my non-violent behaviour somehow triggered her into these rages. The time I did hit her is one of two times and that is to be compared to her several hundred times that she beat me. later, way after we had split up, she became a drug addict who today lives in total squalor. I have just taken my first university degree.
@dracopticon77888 жыл бұрын
+Dracopticon I do not like your words against Ohl Gamondo. She is free to voice her words and opinions without being called names. And I don't say this to get some "points" from anyone. I think discussions and views should be voiced without the risk of getting trashed for it. Attacks on ones person is just cowardly.
@dracopticon77888 жыл бұрын
***** Something very strange happened. I developed an urge to watch over the woman to be able to anticipate when and where she hit me next time. I just couldn't leave her, it was all very mysterious, but I have since read up on something called "Battered Women Syndrom", and I think I got something similar. So when I finally moved to my own apartement I still felt like I wanted to check where she went and what she did. But then, one day, some three weeks later, I watched the ending of the film "Dances With Wolves". When particularly sad words were said by an indian, I suddenly started crying like a babe. This continued for something like two minutes and was a cry that could NOT be stopped. Afterwards it was like I "woke up" from some stupor and for the first time in years felt that it was total idiocy to even want to be around that woman. It was very nice to finally be free of the feelings.

Although I've never hit a woman. The reality is that women in the west have a mouth on them and won't stop alot more so than men. Because men know if you get in the face of another man, yelling and not stopping, you're going to end up in a physical fight most likely. Where as women think no one will touch them so they go on and on and on and on and on. The people with least repercussions people will be more rebellious typically.

***** I don't think it's right to hit women but I agree with him in that it is no worse than hitting a man if provoked. Too many men are afraid to stand up to women when they are being antagonized and that needs to change. For example, if a man antagonizes another man most likely the one being antagonized will not hesitate to punch or hit the other man. While this is not a good habit, I believe this should be the same case for a female. Equality is not hitting men and refusing to hit women.
