SFX Artist here to comment on the bloody eye look. You did a pretty good job! Some observations/explainations: -The Elmer's glue (which should really be liquid latex as it's safer and lasts longer) allows you to paint on top of the tissue without ruining it and helps everything stay in place. -DO NOT PUT KETCHUP ON YOUR FACE OR NEAR YOUR EYE!! -Using lipstick, eyeliner, eyeshadow in lieu of fake blood is an excellent and recommended hack. If your look is getting too pink or "muddy" adding a bit of green or yellow on the edges can make it look more infected instead of fresh. Hope this helps anyone else looking to do a similar thing this Spooky Season.

I would say that Elmer's Glue is the better alternative for the average person doing this for Halloween. Especially for those of us with latex allergies.

​@@kaylahall1219I found 3 parts red, 1-2 part dark green (depending on how bright your red is) works to tamp the color down from fresh blood to something a little more realistic. Just 4-5 drops total in a quarter to half cup of syrup goes a long way. Also be careful, it WILL stain clothing and MIGHT stain your skin for a few days. :D

Kris! For the makeup look, if your lippy ain't giving you exactly the shade you were hoping for, crack out the eyeshadow palette. Some brown or green should tone down that pink, and you can build it up to add crustiness for an older wound look. Don't forget to add purple around the skin to give that bruised flesh look. Also, you can bring it up right to the eye level (good instinct on the eyeliner!)
