I saw my first Amy Walker video about 10 years ago, and she really nailed accents from anywhere on the planet, so I sometimes search on youtube for more of her videos, and I find good videos like yours! Not everyone can do accents spot on, or dead on. Accents are like celebrity impressions. Only some of society can do them where they sound great, and you did great!

Serious answer,it's because of the different plantations and attempted extinction of the Irish language. We had a small handful of dialects for Irish, but as the country was taken over at different rates, they developed accents differently. Then add in the rural to urban shift and your left with a couple hundred different accents.

If anything, the Irwinesque accent is the common stereotype internationally, the first attempt feels like a hybrid of a few common Aussie accents which I guess fits under her "general" label. Kinda like how our default for US is California because it's more known here.

the reason many "British" accents sound so wrong when people from outside the uk do them is because they mash together a jumbled mess of accents from across the country, so I'm really glad Kris made that distinction between regions.
