It seems I didn't explain properly in the video. The extruded sausage already has a hole as you extrude it. If you notice, I mention a "core adapter", and if you follow the link in the video description, you can see a set in the Influencer store, with 3 core adapters of various sizes. The size is the little thingamajig protrusion in the middle. You first put the core adapter then the die. That way, the rounded sausage you extrude already has a hole in it. Do not cut the extruded sausage before baking though, as you will squish the hole.

Kalyana Design Tutorials That is such a cute bracelet! You are so creative. I would never think of doing something like that. I thought the hole in the extruded snake was fairly self explanatory. You did mention the core adaptor AND said you’d put a link to it. That tells me it’s a special die that doesn’t come with extruder. Maybe that’s just the curse of being a scientist...logic and reasoning come natural to me. :-)

Thank you! Actually and honestly, it's my fault. I tend to forget that sometimes people who watch my tutorials are really really just beginners, and might not catch it if I go over it fast. Considering the fact that my channel is mostly targeted towards beginning artists and elderly/disabled artists, that is really my fault. I need to pay more attention to that

I've never even heard of a core extruded die. Man I learn something new every time I come to your channel. Thanks bunches! Ahhh, now where do I get one? 😁
@KalyanaDesignTutorials6 жыл бұрын
It's not really a die, it's an adapter. If you go to the link in the video description, you can see a package that has three of them. They make different size holes depending on the size of the pin. You place that first then the regular die.

Thank you! I am glad you'll have fun with it. And you can make candy ear rings too! The thing with the explanation was because the lady isn't a native English speaker. Got a translation by google (apparently google did a good job) and now all is clear! I love having subscribers from all over the world, but sometimes it makes things a bit hard for them. I can't wait for KZbin to start the automatic translation captions.

Sweet!! A lot of extruder fun, for sure. I've had the core adapters for quite some time, but have never used them. So, cool! Love the variety of beads put in here and there, adds a lot of interest. Enjoyed, as always! Thanks, Day! Thought, can just a touch of peppermint extract go into the clay, just for fun? Might make it too likely to be eaten... which is not a good idea. I know it's not toxic, but not recommended to be eaten either, lol. Probably don't know the long term risks of eating plastic. May not be nearly as bad as what's considered as food on the shelves of the grocery store. You could come up with many faux dishes that would look enticing, not the little food charms that are seen everywhere, but full gourmet selections. Stopping now, I'm getting too hungry, and Premo Spanish Olive clay is right here on my table in front of me. Still, the peppermint sounds better, so when I get to the store I'll have to pick up some peppermint candy, if they have it in sugar-free.... Oh, I have Peppermint clay in FIMO. Nah, I'll wait for the store....

Thank you! Actually I totally forgot about the peppermint oil! Yes, you can put a drop of it in th white clay thar is the base for the candy beads. The heat from the hand will activate it.

very stylish beautiful bracelet thank you very much but I did not see how you made a hole in the circle ?
@KalyanaDesignTutorials6 жыл бұрын
The hole is already made by the core adapter. You place first the core adapter on the extruder then the round die. That way, when the "sausage" comes out, it already has the hole in the middle. That is why I said you need to have your clay well conditioned, because it's harder to push the clay out than with just the die.Don't cut the sausage before it's baked though, you will squish the hole.

so you can share a secret? how to make holes in a circle ?I'd like to repeat your success
@KalyanaDesignTutorials6 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure I understand what you mean. It's no secret. The core adapters are specifically made to allow you to make cylinders with a hole in the middle, ready to be strung. When a tool is made and sold for a specific purpose, that purpose is far from being a secret. It's like asking me to share with you the "secret" of cabochon molds.
