Ingredients: Aar fish 4 pieces
Onion: 2 nos
Ginger: 1"
Garlic: 5 cloves
Green chilli: 2 nos
Vinegar: 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder: 1tsp
Coriander powder: 1 tbsp chilli powder: 1/2 tsp or as required
Tomato sauce: 1tbsp
Garam masala powder: 1tsp
Mustard oil
Dry Mixture Ingredients: 2 tsp all purpose flour
Rice flour: 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp
Few curry leaves
Procedure:
Wash Aar fish properly. Strain water from fishes. Make paste of onion, ginger, garlic and green chilli. Add vinegar, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder and salt as per your taste. Marinate fish with the prepared masala paste and rest aside for 20 minutes. Prepare another mixture of dry ingredients using all purpose flour, rice flour, chilli powder and salt. Coat fishes with dry ingredients and leave for 10-15 minutes. Heat mustard oil in kadhai or pan, add fishes 1or 2 nos at a time and fry in medium low flame of gas. Cover lid if required. Flip the other side when one side is brown and crispy. Add some curry leaves on the fish. Take it down when the fishes are well fried. Decorate with onion, carrot. Serve hot with rice or as side dish.
