@@jenniturtleburger3708 i understand your point but honestly in that case so many moves should be made illegal considering they also have the potential to destroy someone's carreer and health. Knees to the face etc.. like any terrible KO can essentially destroy your carreer and health

@jenniturtleburger3708 Жыл бұрын
@@bastipotter84 I understand, but punches, knees and kicks are integral to the sport. Knee stomps/Oblique kicks are not and banning them would not disrupt the entertainment value of the sport. Look what happened to Santos after the Jones fight. He had to gave reconstructive surgery on both his knees and has never been the same fighter again. Is it really worth it, not just for the fighters health, but to lose the value and entertainment quality of a fighter we to knee jabs. The juice is just not worth the squeeze when it comes to that technique.

@@jenniturtleburger3708 I completely understand your point and I in fact agree with it. Learning to catch the weight correctly when you step is key too. Like that drill they did in kindergarten where they toss the egg at you, to practice your gracefulness, they throw it way up so theoretically it's gonna break as soon as it catches in your hand, but if you lower your hand and soften the impact relax, it will be way better. Do the same with your steps. Helped me lots. Also. RESISTANCE BANDS, many many reps every day over and over, light weight. Will CURE many things like this. It's almost cured my knees ALONE doing this.

Jogging backwards helps knee pain. Just saying, working sleds backwards also builds the correct muscles around even an old outdated knee
@c3ramics
@c3ramics Жыл бұрын
This is unfortunately the case with a lot of high level wrestlers and the cost. And they never commit to correcting it cus they can’t afford the time off. Kumaru trained in the freestyle circuit and he even sparred with the likes of Cael, but the price is universal for a lot of em. The mma canvas and bjj mats do not help one bit, so in that way wrestling has a price in mma.

Imagine kamaru with good knees💀
@yungfinesse3642
@yungfinesse3642 Жыл бұрын
Bro im not even sure if Kamaru realises himself, but his knee injuries start from his flat feet. I had an ex girlfriend who had flat feet and she had chronic knee pain. If she walked too far she would have to take a break. Knee pain and flat footedness have coexisted for quite a while and its surprising how some people like Kamaru are unaware that his own feet are the root of his issue. I heard him talk about his knees on joe rogan when they spoke about PEDS. But when i watched the leon fight back, and they showed a picture of Usman infront of the green screen, I noticed his flat feet straight away. The curve we have under our feet relives pressure on our knees, but imagine that not being there. Your knees will naturally face inwards and cause a lot of pressure on the inside of the knee. Especially when you are holding your entire bodyweight.
