True. Totally true. Plus, there are those who believe India would not be independent without him, and that the Mahtma contributed nothing. Both of these extremes are false. The truth is, following the GoI Act of 1935, Independence of India was practically on the horizon, but the Brithish were simply delaying it. They made their 1st dominion status offer in August 1940 in return for India's cooperation during the war. This was rejected by INC. They then made another offer after Cripps Mission in 1942, which was also rejected and caused Quit India Movement. Finally British decided they had no choice due to the kind of effective anti British unity which had been created by: 1. Quit India Movement 2. Netaji's INA 3. Navy mutiny of 1946. 4. Rise of Socialism in Europe (Labour Party won overwhelming majority in 1945 election of Britain) 5. Collapse of British Economy (so they had little to gain by spending money on keeping India) 6. Fear that a Soviet style anti imperialist movement would occur and succeed in India. This fear was valid, since this happened later in China in 1949 against US backed emperor Chiang Kai-shek. Even Netaji finally knew that post WW2 Soviet Union would help.

Yes. Many of INA members like Major General Mohammed Zaman Kiani and Lt Col Habib Ur Rahman (who escaped in the aeroplane crash which took the life of Netaji) participated in India Pakistan war of 1947 in favour of Pakistan In September 1947, the Pakistani prime minister Liaquat Ali Khan and the Punjabi minister Shaukat Hayat Khan put Major Gen M Z Kiani as the in charge of the southern wing of the Pakistan's effort to overthrow the Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir. General Kiani established a General Headquarters, GHQ Azad, based in Gujrat City. From here, Kiani's forces organised raiding operations on Kashmir border and directed the Kashmiri rebels in Poonch, eventually leading to the formation of Azad Kashmir. Brigadier Raja Habib ur Rahman Khan served as his chief of staff and was responsible for the capture of strategic towns and cities such as Bhimber and Mirpur.

Habib ur Rahman (1913-1978) was an army officer in the Indian National Army (INA) who was charged with "waging war against His Majesty the King Emperor". Rahman also played an important role in the First Kashmir War. Convinced that Maharaja Hari Singh was out to exterminate the Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir, he joined Major General Zaman Kiani, in launching a rebellion against the Maharaja from Gujrat in Pakistani Punjab.

You have reached a kernel of truth -- that Hitler was neither pro-Indian nor a supporter of Bose. But you extrapolate to say that all the Axis Powers were opportunistic, with absolutely no evidence. Japanese leaders like Tojo, Koiso and Terauchi actually supported Netaji. Even among the Germans, they could have denied the submarine if they wanted to, which was a risky undertaking. Also, its laughable to say that the Quit India Movement was a success, when it was easily suppressed within 2-3 months and the British Indian Army continued to function.

Azad hind fauj was never founded by subash bose, it was founded by captain mohan singh and rashbehari bose, later bose took command of it, same way half of the facts were moulded by you in showing bose in a bad light. Ajit doval, literally a great man in intelligence dept, he has said if bose was there no partition would have occured, even jinnah said they will be one country if the pm was bose, hell even clement atlee, the pm of Britain said it was bose, who led the british to go away. Everyone has biases, bose wasn't certainly a perfect being, but the way you portrayed him in this video, and how you showed gandhi was the main guy in freedom, its no wonder why our country is still so under developed, always believing war isnt the only way freedom is achieved.

Bose tried to enter Soviet, but could not. So, he had to go to Germany with the help of Itali. He was against Hitler's attack of Soviet. He was never a student of Cambridge University. He stood 4th in the ICS Exam in England. He never married. Emily was never his wife. Bose died in the year 1978 in Faizabad, India.

Eye opening. There are those who believe India would not be independent without Netaji, and that the Mahtma contributed nothing.

Majority people will understand only what they want to listen.There is no one reason as you mentioned but multiple factors contributing to our Independence.M not Gandhi's fan due to his orthodox and hypocrite views on women, Caste, Religion, Race,etc, but no one can ignore his contributions that is for sure.

We got freedom because British power weakened after the second world war. Infact you'll see this with all colonial powers around that time, many countries got freedom in the aftermath of world war 2 because all these global colonial powers were economically and otherwise weakened - they were struggling to hold their colonies and the subjugation finally ended. Ofc, we can't ignore the combined efforts of all the freedom fighters, but atleast in the case of India, it was probably this factor instead of one particular person or movement.
@NehaVerma-q5cАй бұрын
@@sachins5784 It is one of the factor. But India became free because red fort trails of INA had created a feeling of revolt among the British Indian army soldiers. Just listen to Br Ambedkar interview to bbc in 1955. He clearly mentioned that India became free because of BOSE.

There is one thing we indians never talk about. The british didn't escape from india, they left india and humiliated us, just like for a lot of nations in africa. In their minds, "they gave independence to indians, the inferior race". The chapter- The indo china war of class 10 NCERT inspired me a lot. If we had the got the independence in the manner of vietnam, it would have been so much better. in 1940 our population was 340 million. If just 2 million of our people united and fought a violent war, we would have won quite easily. Ofcourse i am aware of divide and rule strategy of britain. If gandhi tried to convince, people would have fought for him. But, ofcourse he chose humiliation over violence and death. Even though, Famines caused by british raj killed more people ( More of us were killed than Genocide of jews of in Europe).
@hunterrrking6297Ай бұрын
Right
@sachins5784Ай бұрын
That's because Gandhi was also an extremist in his views. He was a pacifist, but there's a important difference to make when you're entire population is subjugated by a colonial power - which Gandhi obviously failed to make. Obviously we can only guess, but I really wonder why other "violent" movements against the British didn't really take off, considering the population - surely someone else might have had the same ideas as Bose. It's just weird.

Yes. Independence of Indo China from the French colonial rule was a bloody affair. Partition of India and decolonisation of British India was comparatively less violent compared to that
