Valieva is so talented. It hurts me knowing that she has been working on her craft since she could skate... years of time ...and she gets to the top of her sports and then all of this .... and the community she has loved and cherished now has distain for her. I pray she can overcome this.

The incredible level of pressure that has fallen on Camila is difficult to handle even for a multiple champion, what to say about a young girl who has just made her debut. I believe that information about doping should not have fallen into the hands of the media before court's desigion, and since it is, it would be better if she left this Olympics, because continuing to perform in this circumstances has a bad affect first of all on Kamila's mental health and career. When she found out that they allowed her to continue perform, she was not happy at all, she said "I'm terribly tired of this all" and began to cry. This whole situation is a sensation and views for Media, for the country's its about medals and new reasons for accusations, and for Camila its her whole life. She paid too much. She didn't deserve to go through this nightmare.

The media and those online frothing at the mouth to cancel her, and not the organization and adults behind her, would hold no regrets if she had ended her life over all this. Teens have certainly done so over less. Recreational outrage.

My cousin was a pretty high level competitive skater about 10 years ago when she was 14. She had to constantly call in to authorities and make sure any drug, including OTC, she was about to take would not get her into trouble. Every skater and their parents know about this. For someone of her stature, and her coaches, to not know about this, is ridiculous. She should never been allowed to skate after her illegal drug taking was discovered.
@penelopelopez8296
@penelopelopez8296 2 жыл бұрын
We all saw her skate drug free in the long program and it wasn’t pretty. I think it’s obvious what that angina drug was doing for her…..it gave her more stamina and endurance by increasing the oxygen in her blood….highly illegal in any professional athletic sport…..including horse racing which tests specifically for drugs that produce more oxygen in the blood….makes a horse run farther and faster than it normally would. It’s very illegal to use in competition and all the labs test for it in athletes. She’s a cheater and she knows it and they should never allow underage children to compete with adults.

i'm trying to reckon with where all the hate directed towards this young lady is derived from? is it because she's Russian? because she is absolutely electrifying on the ice, - not to mention, she makes it look effortless. Or maybe its just that the Russians are so dominant on the ice that the "rest of the world" has to ASSUME something other than thousands of hours of hard work, falls, and intense training; - i mean , c'mon!!! i was a fan after watching one of her performances last year - jaw dropping and mesmerizing to watch. it was my conclusion then, and now - that she's gonna get "hated" on hard. No matter what storyline played out.And the "hate" has come hard and from all directions.

She was born in "Minor" Russia, Minor Russia discovered her talent among thousands of other very talented skaters in Russia, supported her in every sport event. Big men from WADA killed her talent and broke her mentally. If there had been a drug in her test, these big men should have not allowed her to come to the Olympics in the first place. With how much money WADA gets, they should have checked all the tests beforehand and not put a teenager in front of cruel cameras. They could have worked prompter with a teenager to make sure that she is clean before sh3 comes to perform. WADA is a modern inquisition!

@@NT-zj9fz You need to re-read what I wrote. Kamilla is a minor. I said way to go with a minor Russia. I didn't say Russia was a minor! Secondly it is ridiculous delusional to blame WADA for her taking these drugs. They didn't put the drugs in her system encourage her to take it, for her to have taken it or whatever the adults around her did. No minor child says on their own at a young age, gee I think I'll take drugs for my heart and then is able to get them.

If she could still place 4th, after all this, then that proves Kamila is just too damn good. She threw it. "You're welcome and are you done attacking me?!", says Kamila probably. Btw. Threw it= gave up, wanted to self-terminate. Throwing it is not falling on purpose (some think that's the only way to throw it) ; it's the psychological decision to "quit", however it is done. The overwhelming response seems to be empathy for Valieva, and blame for the adults. ...But she clearly doped to enhance her performance, and remains part of a state system that continues to cheat with no accountability. It's also not fair to the "careers and psyches" of the teen skaters who followed the rules and won cleanly. Not to mention the Sha'Carri Richardsons and Andreea Raducans that are clearly held to a different standard. I am sorry this is happening to her. It's a lot for any 15 year old. But it's also a natural and normal consequence. She should not have been allowed to compete once her test result was positive. And as one of the "jackals"--I hope my "sister or daughter" would NEVER be in a position where the adults in her life condoned drugging and abusing them for a stupid medal. The shame lies on her parents, coaches, and the IOC for putting her in that position.

To those criticizing and insulting Valieva: The haters got what they wanted. You succeeded to destroy a 15-year-old super talent. Feeling good huh? You could not wait for the formal investigation to be concluded. You were too eager to smear her and take her innocence away from her. “Hang her High!” (sic). You ganged up against this 15-year-old girl. Words like doping, cheating, drug scandal, are freely used against her. It is cruel and inhumane, to say the least. What a mess! To those that spoke with a voice of reason: My deepest RESPECT. Thank you. For me there is not only “reasonable doubt”. There is an enormous amount of doubt that she is guilty. 1. How did the drug get into her system? - Accidental contamination? Very possible. See my own experience below. - Her supporting team (coaches or doctors) fed her the drug disguised as vitamins and she did not realize what she is taking? - She took the drug knowingly? I have a hard time to believe this but let the investigation conclude. A 15-year-old will not be able to get hold of that drug. 2. Would she, her team, ROC, etc., have sent her samples to Stockholm, or her to the Olympics, knowing or suspecting that this drug was in her body? - I doubt it. These people are not stupid. - They would not even have sent her to the Olympics if they knew at that time. - Also see the last bullet in item 4 below. 3. All her tests prior to and after this 25 December 2021 test turned up negative. - In her entire career, only this one test on 25 December 2021 turned up positive. - All her tests in Beijing at the Olympics turned up negative. - Coincidence? 4. Why did the lab in Stockholm take 6 weeks to publish the test results while the IOC rules are that test results must be published within 20 days? - First they blamed the delay on COVID. - Then they accused Russia of “slow-walking” the process. - Lately they blame Russia for not having marked her samples as urgent or critical. - This is absurd and all these excuses is just noise. The IOC rules state that the lab must publish the results within 20 days. - Had Valieva or the ROC received the results within 20 days they would have had time to challenge the results and, if the results were accepted as true, they would not have sent her to the Olympics. 5. Why did the lab publish the results exactly one day after she helped her team to win gold? - Coincidence? Questionable. Accidental Contamination. My own experience: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I was working in a foreign country as an expat for 5 years. Every year all expats had to go for a complete and thorough medical examination. One year I failed. The testing Dr told me they detected an illegal drug in my system. I was floored as I never used drugs in my entire life. This was serious as I could go to jail in this country for this. The Dr then asked me to go and fetch all the medicine that I have in my apartment and to bring it back to him. He then identified a specific head-ache tablet, that was available in any pharmacy without a prescription, to contain the illegal substance they detected in my system. This is how easy it can happen. I am confident that Russia will look after her and that we will be privileged to see Kamila Valieva perform in the future again. There are people in many countries all over the world (e.g., France, South Africa, etc.) for whom Kamila is a hero.

No, it’s just because Richardson was tested positive right before the Olympics. Valieva was tested several time negative before Olympics. Also she performed clean during her program in Beijing. The old probe was late back from December and it was found just a trace of banned medication, not dope by itself. So it could be fake positive test, a part of some other supplement or even the sample could be faked. Considering the time frame when this probe popped up. All other tests before and after were absolutely dope - free. How it can be? 🤷‍♀️

@@j3rzy.r Yes, I'm very serious. Everyone is blaming Eteri and Valieva's doctor for Kamila's positive drug test. So why assume that all other skaters from Eteri's team are totally clean? We already know that she doped Valieva during the trainings, hoping that the substances would be out of her system by the time she was checked. So I have the right to doubt all of Eteri's students.

Has anyone considered that Valieve was “forced” to lose? That she was told by her “couches” to lose so that there could be a metal ceremony and therefore keep everyone happy? This whole skating saga is pathetic. All of this could have been avoided if the rules were followed and Kamala wasn’t allowed to skate because she tested positive for a banned substance.

I honestly feel she was told by her coach to fail. I think the 15 y/o will be the scapegoat so her coach can continue treating these kids terribly.

@Heinrich Hertz I don't think so. This scandal makes all of skating look bad and the Olympics as a whole look bad. It would be really short-sighted to do something like this just to sabotage Russia. She also admitted to taking the banned substance saying it was "her grandpa's medicine". So if it was false allegations, why would she make up the grandpa medicine story?

@Heinrich Hertz Yes, that is definitely a consideration. I think that there are a lot of things to consider in this case. It has been mishandled from the beginning, with many questions not yet answered.

The pressure didn’t get to her. She didn’t have her endurance drug anymore and found out that it can’t be masked by using other heart drugs. She knew she had to skate drug free and that is what put the pressure on her. We all saw the results of her drug free skate…. Not too good and she didn’t even deserve fourth place. She deserved to be disqualified after the positive drug test and sent HOME.
