I know they have a 4 blade tail rotor as an option, but it doesn't appear to be a very popular option on the 500 series helicopters for some reason.

+John doe The only benefit to the four bladed tail rotor is less noise signature because of the lower RPM. The four bladed models are also more work to fly because there is less tail rotor authority which makes them a handful especially at higher altitudes and high heat.
