I feel for Caesar! How many times has he rebuilt that turtle pond now? And I’m with him- I wouldn’t be going in with that Nile Crocodile either! I’m sure he signed on to a gardening job and had no idea his work was going to expand to all these animals too! I actually really enjoy animals so I think I would enjoy that for the most part but I can see how much extra work it is, especially since none of the animals seem to be tame, other than the turtles, who seemed to want to have a say in their pool design and where every rock was placed!

18K For one palm? That’s insane! I bought a White Elephant Palm and a Royal Palm as housewarming gifts for a family member’s garden in the late 90s and didn’t pay anywhere near that much! Shrinkflation. 😒

I am going to give Kenan an 7 GAL I paid $100 for. The most I have every paid for a plant is $3500. But those are the nicest I have ever seen.

The four most primitive plants are trees on the planet are tree ferns psychads ginkgoes and early conifers. you can plant all four in your property you'll look like Jurassic Park literally or even earlier permian part Permian Park.

We watched a couple of videos on how to build a pond and I got $150 small river boulders and $100 in gravel. We made sure the orange dirt did not flow into the pond.

To Caesar and his crew, great job. But sorry to say, and you know Tom. Give him a couple of weeks and thought/vision comes into his mind and you will changing the pond again.

I just got a baby tree fern! Will it overtime be able to do full sun?
@Plantsfulfillingdreams3 ай бұрын
In Florida half sun makes the best plants. If you are farther north it may take more sun. Is it in a pot? Let the plant talk to you. If it starts to burn you could move the pot.

We have a 7 ft (100 lb)? wild alligator in Apopka. I go in the water lily pond with. I hope I am not being foolish. This alligator is 70 years old and does not seem to move fast, but again I don't want to be foolish.

Interesting how iirc we're both zone 10[whatever], but plants grow so much better as y'all get hot. But I'd rather deal with yesterday's 60F then 90f+ despite plants growing slowl AF. And I'd rather not have hateful people controlling the state government and be actively taking my rights and freedoms away, and instead have a state government trying to make things better for my community, so Imma stick to San Francisco (which with global warming is probably getting colder during the summer, as silicon valley heating up causes increased ocean breezes in San Francisco.) But I sure am jealous of y'all plants.
@Plantsfulfillingdreams3 ай бұрын
There are many plants that grow in California that can not take our summer heat. Sometimes I am a little jealous. We can grow date palms, but no dates. But our actual coconut palms make coconuts. My main garden is in Apopka, FL zone 9b so I am taking risks. 28 degrees Christmas 2023. No cold weather since. Kenan is zone 10. No comment on the government.

@@Plantsfulfillingdreams Fair point! I have a banana tree that tmk can't fruit here due to lack of heat, it's dwarf one and pretty so I treat it as foliage. Weirdly it did pup even without fruiting, but that was when it was like 3 years old after having it's foliage destroyed by too close by tree removal, which may have stressed it out (not sure if banana trees have stress-pups like some plants have stress-flowers).
