That is a small part of Kampala - downtown Kampala, which is ultra busy, congested and dusty. There's other parts of Kampala that are upscale in nature. Just like any city in the world today, Kampala has the less stellar parts (like what's shown in this video) and the more upscale parts (not shown in this video). But irrespective of which part of Kampala you visit, rest assured that you will find the person-to-person interactions quite satisfying. The people are a jolly lot. Visit one day. You will fall in love with Kampala at first sight, guaranteed.

@@delad-k5279 Watching the video, I did not get the impression he was criticizing at all. He had many kind words about the inhabitants. However ask any expatriate working in EAfrica they love to visit n stay in Kampala because may be they experience the chaos but also Kampala's affordability that's the word to describe Kampala n also easy to get around plus very friendly people

Wow, busy place, lots of hustle and bustle in the big city of Kampala, Uganda. In highschool I worked at KFC as a cook and my boss was from Uganda. I use to ask him about Uganda as the internet wasn't available for another 7-8 years (and even then it was mostly just email) and he would tell me all about it and how beautiful it was and if I even visited I would never leave. He came to Canada as a refuge in the 1970's as he and his wife were born in Uganda but they were of Indian descent and suffered ethnic persecution by the hands of Idi Amin.

If you read into history, you would understand why Amin did what he did. It was all Britain's fault. The Asians were British citizens and were being treated as second class next to the British, with native Ugandans in last place. When someone gives away your land as a gift to another race, I'm sure you wouldn't feel nice about it. When the British left, they were meant to leave with the Asians but they discarded them bc they weren't white. Now, why would natives owe British citizens shit? It's a sad chapter as it wasn't the Asian's fault but neither was it Amin's or the Ugandan's fault. They were surely not gonna leave another race to rule over them as first class bc of colonialism. That's why South Africa is the way it is.

The roads in the Philippines are very good, and the traffic is well-organized (but not all the time). The thing that causes traffic is that there are many vehicles in Manila that's why it causes traffic, but I believe that this will be resolved over the next two years or so, as many projects are currently underway.

Thanks for posting. I lived there for a couple of years with my Ugandan wife and while she was having her hair done Majestic Plaza I'd walk those streets. You can find just about aything there. The real fun started when we drove home to Entebbe in the evening, I love competing with all the bodas for space and pushing across crossroads. The drivers are very pushy but good natured and generally cheeful and unlike India they rarely use their horns.

FRAME 5:59: The lady turns around, asks the videographer who has been trailing her from behind for about four minutes: "I hope my ass is not in that video!" And the videographer responds: "It was. Sorry." LOL!

She is with him. He refers to her as his "spotter". In fact black women are very proud of their asses, and I understand that black men value asses (which they call "booty") as much as, or more than, boobs. No harm in that.

Hi Ryan- I too have been an Expat from US 'collectively' about 22 years only off and on. I've been "stuck" here in the US since the LockDown unfortunately. I too have lived in many cultures and my wife is from the southern Philippines. While living in Sweden back in the 90's I had some Kenyan friends and have done tours in Israel with groups of South Africans- but never really saw much of Africa. Today I am 68 and retired but what I now know is if I had more time I definitely would have invested into seeing some of Africa! Yeah- some of the lesser developed countries in the world have some Rich aspects about them that Western cultures "lost" sometime ago- Take care!
