I'm less concerned about Slinky getting his own pond than HOW MUCH BIGGER that guy is gonna get! He's big enough to eat his girlfriend/future mother of his brood, Pinky, and as neat as I generally think the Slinkster is, I just don't trust him anymore than I would a cat. I would trust the Chinese box turtles more than Slinky and they're the closest things to living Chinese finger traps that Kenan has -- only they go after the toes!!!! Eh, better to lose a toe than a thumb or "The Bird" finger! After Slink eats that "Bird," you won't be giving "the Bird" to anyone anymore!

My leopard tortoise absolutely loves eating Aloe. Like she is adicted to it. I also baught cactus once and it was expensive. I tasted it to see what it tasted like and found it was cucumber so I started to give her cucumber on a regular basis and she loves that too. Recently got her a pumpkin and she loves that too, but Aloe is like her crack.

Hé Kenan, just something i read today about Alocasia spp.: The Alocasia contains very sharp calcium oxalate raphide crystals, which if ingested can cause pain in the throat, tongue and mouth, gastric irritation, and result in difficulty in breathing, so not one to have near the tortoise enclosure. Correct me if this is wrong, hope this will help.

You helped influence me to get a leopard tortoise. I love it so much. It's such a wonderful little animal. There is quite a lot of responsibility to take care of it, but it's responsibilities I enjoy doing to give the best care for my tortoise. It has a closed PVC cage etc with high humidity. Growing my own food too and not feeding any store bought hibiscus for a year cus they have pesticides. Kenan, what are your thoughts on store bought plants like hibiscus and how long to wait before starting to feed them? I've also heard its okay to feed new growth from store bought plants instead of waiting for a long time, but I'm not sure how safe that is. Maybe the answer could be part of a video.

Hello Kenan. Love your channel and all your beautiful animals!! Could you tell me how to get humidity in an iguana tank? I recently adopted a female blue iguana, "Miss Petey" she was paralyzed in her hinde quarters but good diet and vet visits have her much more mobil now. Calcium and stool softners and laxatives have her in much better shape. I don't know a lot about iguanas but I've been learning from you. We live up north so she is indoors with UV lights and such. I welcome any guidance you could give, I love her so so much!! Thank you 😊 💓

Hey Ken I have three sucata tortoise. How often do you suggest feeding them big meals and what type of foods do you recommend. I have been feeding them kale, lettuce, apples, strawberries, cabbage blueberries and occasionally watermelon. But most of the time it is leafy foods. Learning so much from watching your videos. Your tortoise collection is awesome. I wish that could get a least one more species of tortoise. I know that the climate is different here in California. Because of the climate the food selection would be different. So any information that you can provide, it would be greatly appreciated. I do follow you on Instagram also. Thanks for your expertise. Take care and God bless.
