Nice video, yeah you probably have a cobwebs in the manifold, it doesn’t take much to mess things up. On an old stove that has been sitting up for a while it’s best to go completely through it. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome work Robert , your persistence paid off . Would have been easy to get discouraged but you kept at it . I think your On the right track with obstruction in the burner assembly for the backfire issue .

Use the box end not the open end of the wrench when breaking loose a nut or bolt especially if it's a soft metal like brass. The corners can be rounded off very easily. Open end wrench grabs only 2 corners of the bolt or nut. Box end wrench grabs all 6 corners so does a socket.

I’m also thinking something is partially obstructing the inside of that manifold if I had to guess. Nice work that had to take some time and patience to get it to where it’s at but a stovie has to do what a stovie has to do. I bet you just can’t stand it and have to get it completely right 😂😂😂.
