You are missing the "shark skin" inserts that go under the twists on the grip cord, a friend of mine uses textured white leather for his costume larp swords, it not only looks awesome but also massively improves the grip quality of the implement

Thats actually very interesting to know that different print plastics have different "glow" quantities. Pretty nice to learn that for future projects, and the "ramp" section for the steel rail plate inside is fantastic. Almost makes me want to rebuild my Genji katana for my Oni skin.

Great job on the build. And wow, you actually did the handle wrapping authentically. A modern way to help with the wrapping are clamps. Better yet, double-sided tape along the top and bottom.

There's a way to do this same kind of thing on a solid plastic blade so you don't need hollowed out blade shapes. It's a special paint called Lumilor. It has been used on everything from motorcycle helmets and bodywork, to full cars.

HEY! I USE ACETONE AND ABS PLASTIC TO MAKE "LIQUID PLASTIC" TOO! I use it to repair ABS PLASTIC kayaks and some Canoes. (Fixing cracks)

Awesome work! I'm not familiar with the adafruit board, but if you want a lot of effets with your sound and lights, I recommend you check out lightsaber soundboards. I made a larp safe katana with a golden harvest soundboard and the thing is ridiculusly fun to use.

It is funny you name is Kamui Becausr my favorite vocaloid is named Kamui Gackpo, and he also had an Katana that not only lights like the hamon in different neon colors but also he can make entire songs with the Katana.
