would increasing the storage be easier? so you store half the plot of water or if storage is easy enough store enough for the entire field, and it can stock pile the water when you're not doing the farming so you don't need to have so many pumps running at once.

@@eeeeee6585 I forgot the crafting requirements for the water canisters, but I think they're much cheaper than the pumps, and using T-shaped glass pipes will help with stacking pumps and water containers together, for maximum storage capabilities. As you said, it might take much longer to recharge, but if not used daily, they would last a lot longer, possibly allowing the watering of the whole field, before needing refilling.

The one thing I wish for the most is train tracks running through the map as a path connecting all of the warehouses and packing stations. What's the speed on the pistons? Because if they're already at minimum, then just break up the pistons into groups controlled by different switch's then you cna easily water without wasting water but more Importantly your time. New multiplayer Monday challenge, your vehicle has have the body built using the crop crates.

hey kAN , i have a suggestion for the watering system , how about you put the pistons on a pulsing circuit and connect two buttons to go forward and to go back . this way you wont have to flick the switch for the pistons on and off and you can just stay in one place to water some pieces of soil .

I found out how the farming and raid levels work: so each crop has a value : carrots, redbeets, and tomatos are worth 1. Potatoes and cotton are 1.5. Banana, blueberry, and oranges are 2, then broccoli and pineapple are 3. The raids depend on the total value of your crops. 10-19 gives 3 Totebots. 20-29 gives 4 Totebots & 1 Haybot. 30-39 gives 4 Totebots & 2 Haybots. 40-49 gives 4 Totebots & 3 Haybots. 50-59 4 Totebots & 4 Haybots, and so on.

The wiki is still good. Also the crops are divided into tiers, if you farm just the simple crops of carrots, tomatoes etc, and potatoes (technically potatoes are tier 1.5), then you will never get the red guys and you will just get totebots and haybots at a max of 4 and 10. The higher tier crops pineapples, broccoli, etc will trigger tougher bots to be Included in the raid

KAN (ps): You changed the water pump speed. . . . . . but you didn't slow down the pistons to compensate for that. You are wasting alot of water as a result of missing due to the extreme speed offset from the firerate. Fixing this should help you optimize what little water you have to work with.

Wouldn't having the water cannons rotate up and down to launch water be cheaper than using all the pistons? As I type this out now, I realized that you'd have to get more water cannons to cover the water if they spin around, so maybe that'd work on a smaller farm. When I buy scrap mechanic, I'll test this out to find out.

I think next episode you guys should make a clothing shop on the other tree, maybe below the landing spot, or above the restaurant, which ever you guys prefer. I think that that would be cool since you guys already have a restaurant. Or you can possible make the seed "warehouse" bigger. Make it taller or make it longer/wider. Both of those idea's will help give you guys a reason to cut down on your stupidly excessive amount of wood you guys have, thus freeing up space in your chests, which in turn give you guys more space for stuff you craft.

Suggestion for the crate transportation: Make a mega truck that has room for 5 wide × 9 long crates. There would be multiple levels for crates to be loaded so that you could stack the crates. Each level would have room for 45 crates. You could have piston-mounted counterweights on the sides to prevent rolling the truck when carrying a tall load. The truck would have enough wheels and suspension that it can drive smoothly and turn more smoothly than with the current truck.

Vacuum pumps can plant very fast, but picking it up has a 1 second delay. So I think you should just use vacuum pumps for planting but manually pick the crops up

Since your farm is that vast you may need telescopic delivery vehicle, so you could be agile while empty and have a great capacity while extended. I did one in my world, it expands from 20 то 36 fruit crates with only 2 lvl5 pistons.

Wouldn't it be more efficient if you would have tied the Extend and Contract to different keys? That way you could move it up a little while watering instead of tapping the toggle over and over. It would be a time saver while sill making it a Manual task

He would need at least 1 more max level piston and 7-27 logic gates depending on how fast he'd want the extention and connection. Also a redesign of the water cannon mount. Not worth when he can flip a switch repeatedly and get a comparable result.

You should do a water pump design like J0hnbane did a while back. He made a system where there was a block above the center of every plot in this case you could just do 1 block per row. He then used a sensor hooked up to all of the pumps so when the pumps were directly over a row it would fire. If you did a system like that then you wouldn't have to worry about doing multiple passes or missing a few spots.

If you do the auto seeder the same way the water is set up it's only going to take about a minute to plant and collect. Maybe if you only have one it would take 30 minutes but if you just set it up the same way it will be very fast. Now consider that it literally takes an entire day of planting to plant your field if your robot can do it for you, then you can work on other things while it auto farms. This is fast and efficient not sure why you wouldn't do it, to be honest.

You can slow the pistons down by hooking half of them to one switch and the other half to another, then run them individually, slows it down by half

Idk if theyre easier to build, but if you build enough water storage then it can be filling up while youre not watering and then you have enough stored up to water the whole field and the number of pumps would only matter on how long you wait between watering rather than stopping you while in the middle of watering
