Absolutely perfect video 10 out of 10!!! I know virtually nothing about repairing cars yet I just replaced my daughters clutch by following this video.... it worked first time..... Don't know how this guy lifted the gearbox back in like that, great skills.

Nicely done! Did you replace crank seal as well whilst you were in there? Need to do mine on Megane F1 2006 soon. Very similar layout to this Scenic so this will help.

Hello. I have a question for fellow mechaniks. I am waiting for the replacement of the dual mass flywheel in Renault Scenic II 2.0 16V petrol. After unscrewing the front part of the bench under the radiator, will I be able to pull out the gearbox through the hole or do I have to remove the entire sledge from the suspension to get the access to do this?

do you drop the drivers side sub frame as well as the passenger side to separate gearbox from engine, if so,do you need to separate steering rack from column to lower sub frame?

Only the gearbox side. Sometime I might slacken a bit the rear ended of the other side.

I have a 2011 megane grandtour 1.5dci 110hp , i have to get the rev limiter up to 1.5k revs and then release the clutch otherwise it doesnt move, i also feel some vibrations (maybe the flywheel). The car has 161000 km's, do you think the clutch is worn? And maybe flywheel too?

WestSideConnection5 this one particular repair will require a bit of skill. It’s a bit of an advanced level one Due to the wiring at the top. Give yourself a few days if you’re gonna do it yourself.

If you removed the ECU please check very carefully that none of the pins are bent. Most likely cause : make sure all the earth straps are correctly fastened back onto the gearbox.

Hello, thanks for the video. I recently bought a Renault Megane 3, unfortunately the clutch is difficult to move and my foot hurts. I asked some people what the problem could be. They said the printing plate had to be changed. Now this week I will change the Completely clutch with the help of your videos. What do you think for the hard common clutch? is it printing plate or could something be different? 197000km 1.5 diesel year 2013, thank you again

@@WMCS Thanks, after changing these three parts, the clutch pedal became lighter, but I still have a slight pain under my foot after driving, without the engine running I hear quiching when coupling under the pedal. Maybe something is right with the master cylinder and slave cylinder?

Hi, appreciate the work you've put in on this. It really looks tough with all that disassembly. I've got a question though; I see that the removal of numerous lower suspension components is necessary to gain access to the gearbox. When its all done and put back together, will there be a need to re-do an alignment? Thanks in advance

Hi Roy. Only drop one side of the subframe. Otherwise will still be in place so no need to do alignment after. Almost like a door on hinges opening and shutting if that makes sense.
