Yo, big KC fan since the Alex Smith days and a Detroit native living in Belleville. I wasn't a fan of the Xavier Worthy pick at first, man. I didn't know much about him except for his 40 time and that he weighed under 170 pounds. I thought he was just a gadget player. But the more I watch film on him, one thing that stands out is his route running. He's like Tyreek Hill in that he knows how to use his speed to his advantage in the route stem. Tyreek didn't fully develop that skill until his third or fourth year with the Chiefs. I'm not saying Worthy is Tyreek, but he doesn't need to have Davante Adams-type routes to manipulate the defense. And he's way better than Mecole Hardman, who's frustrating but serviceable in the offense.

He’s got the talent, and I think he could absolutely be a nice X factor, big play, piece in this offense. He just doesn’t strike me as a real NFL GUY at wideout, but he could absolutely develop into that with time. I just expect some rookie growing pains is all. Thanks for the comment man 🙏

I loved when you said something like... "Just think about it.. if you are dating Michael Jackson, that doesn't leave much time for basketball." One last thing, I agree with you on Aaron Rogers and Peyton Manning, my problem with putting them so high is that they played small so many times in big games. The three top guys Brady, Montana and Mahomes come up big in big moments in the biggest games!

Those are fair points. All time QB talents and both won plenty of big big games. Mahomes is on his way to chasing Brady though all time.

You can't include Brady there. Sorry, but when the Patriots went so far out of their way to tell other teams "we got away with Spy-Gate & we don't care who knows it" to the extent that they performed _all_ the trick plays the Eagles had planned for the S-B _BEFORE_ the Eagles used them, everything else becomes suspect, *especially* the ability of their Slow Receivers to always get open in the defensive zones of other teams. Chee, it's almost like they somehow knew where those empty spaces were gonna *be* in advance or something. Every other QB's highlights feature the making of Incredible Passes to covered receivers. Brady's are full of easy throws to wide-open ones. Cripes his % of successfully completed contested catches may rank in the lowest percentile. It's probably why he went along with spy-gate: couldn't complete passes without the free-range receiving corps.

Tbh I don’t any team other than KC that can make it out of the AFC right now. The Chiefs literally have no weaknesses on their roster except for maybe cornerback and maybe receiver. Kelce is getting older but he’s still solid and Hollywood Brown is theoretically a good pickup. Those two should be enough to make something happen but we’ll see. And Snead is a pretty significant loss so the defense likely won’t be quite as effective. I’m sure they wouldn’t just let him go without a plan. Other than those two positions, we already know for a fact that they are above average in every other area all the way down to the kicker. Then you look at the rest of the AFC and all the top teams just happen to be rebuilding. Unless the Chiefs get major injuries, they will be back in the Super Bowl
@paulc254
@paulc254 Ай бұрын
I'm not concerned with any position, except who is going to start at LT. I think the Chiefs hope Kingsley steps up and takes the bull by the horns. . WR Brown / Worthy and Rice with a year under his belt = WAY ahead of last year CB The Chiefs have 6 guys, any of whom could take over at CB2 and in the slot. I think it may be Conner as the slot CB and Johnson at CB2. But, it's going to be a good battle for those spots, and whoever they cut, will be a good player somewhere.

I definitely wouldn’t say there isn’t any other team that can make it out of the AFC, this is the NFL and you never know what’s gonna happen in an 18 week season and a playoff run. That being said, they should 100% be the favorites next year until proven otherwise. It’s gonna be another great KC year I think. Thanks so much for the comment 🙏

@@paulc254 I don’t have faith in worthy or Rice. Rice is suspended and will be out of the loop when he comes back if he does. Worthy is way too small and he’s a rookie. They relied pretty heavily on Snead last year and I think it’s fair to assume whoever steps up will not be as good as him. It may not be a hole in the defense but it won’t be as lockdown as last year.
@paulc254
@paulc254 Ай бұрын
@@sprawlz6466 Rice has NOT been suspended and may not be at any time this season. The NFL tends to wait until the legal process plays out, and it(court case) has not even begun. . Worthy - He's been that size for some time, and very successful. There are small successful receivers in the NFL,. I would not bet against him and the Chiefs. . Sneed - That's what they said when Ward left. The Chiefs have at least FIVE or SIX guys capable of stepping up. Chris Jones would have been impossible to replace, Sneed, not so much.
@UsefulPreconceivedNotions

I don't think anyone has realized how terrifying Worthy is yet. I think I heard that they ran this play 28% of his passes, a wide-out pass behind the line of scrimmage that he more often than not takes for Huge Gains because he can cut while running. This is the _Chiefs._ They do that play once on their first drive, _EVERY other DC will panic_ & put extra defenders on him. 1) Fewer people to blitz Mahomes with. 2) Fewer to defend all the other receivers with. One Play & either opposing defenses will (have to) start playing outside of how they were prepared to do for the entire rest of the game or they will run that play again & get the Huge Gain. I can't be the _only person_ who sees this, right?

Chiefs training camp is held in St. Joseph, MO at a small college. It’s like a boot camp; players live in dorms. Off season is the off season, but when it gets to September, Chiefs are historically always locked in and ready. Kelce and others have always lived it up for years and proven it won’t affect them in-season. But it didn’t used to be a TMZ headline in years past so no one was making a big deal of it

All of this is well and great, but what’s your point exactly? Mentioning the multiple arrests and headlines regarding a team is part of the chatter going into the season. We didn’t really offer a hard stance on whether or not it would affect the outcome of the games played. It’s essentially being talked about by us because it’s being talked about. I appreciate the insight, but this is more a conversation for the individuals on the team Involved in legal incidents this off-season, not us.

The thing Xavier Worthy brings to the team that was sorely missing last year is ability to track the ball down the field. Who cares about route running if you can't be under the ball when it comes down. And 50/50 balls have not been something either Andy or Mahomes want to attempt. They want field stretchers that can actually catch the ball to reopen the middle of the field for Kelce and Rice.

You could have done better than that flee market. Some entertainmemt neighborhoods that are much better: Power and Light district (aka downtown), Westport, Country Club Plaza and River Market. Residential neighborhood with decent restaurants and brew pubs, but much quieter and you'd mix with locals, families: Brookside/Waldo Recently gentrified ethnic (Mexican) neighborhood, warehouses converted to lofts, sports bars, also close to Union Station: : West-side and Southwest Boulevard for family-run Mexican restaurants, sports bars, bbq, speak-easy if you know where, Some slightly sketchy spots The suburbs have good restaurants sprinkled around, but you have to drive point to point and you have to choose your destination restaurant or bar before driving there. In the suburbs, you can't park and wander around. Everywhere else I mentioned, you can park and wander. while discovering and people-watch8ng. There are no good areas near any stadiums, except Sprint Center downtown.

The ‘distraction’ takes are so overblown! Trying to say Travis Kelce isn’t locked in just makes you look silly. He’s going to be 35, he doesn’t need to kill himself in the off season. Saying he ‘regressed’ and not mentioning the injury right before week 1 or week 5 during the Vikings game shows a lack of attention to detail. He was literally hurt all season long! Still could’ve had 1k yards but he sat out week 18 because he prioritizes winning over stats. Worthy also has very good hands! The ‘hand injury’ he had was a BROKEN HAND. His drop rate was less than half that the other 2 years at UT. If you watch the all 22 you can see his route running chops. Pumping up AD Mitchell when he half assed a large number of reps is wild! Nice to hear Dave get some love finally!!

It’ll be interesting to see if Kelce can return to form during this season if he can stay healthy. Yeah we’ll see on Worthy, man. I think he needs some development, but he’s definitely a talent. I liked Mitchell a lot more at Texas, but it’s an opinion. Also on the distractions stuff: neither of us said it was a huge deal, it’s just gotta be mentioned. Don’t shoot the messenger, we didn’t do anything illegal, some players on the Chiefs did and we talked about it like everyone else. Thanks for watching though, I respect the passion and we appreciate it. 🙏

Kelce basically had 1k missing the first and last games. While having NOBODY to take focus off of him until Rice started to come on. The additions of Brown and Worthy give them multiple guys that can threaten deep. The underneath is going to be more open for Kelce than it’s been for 2-3 years. Not to mention Rice who was a YAC monster last season. I hope Kelce plays less snaps because Wiley is taking reps from him to keep him fresher!

Like your content, but your way off on some of the players! Travis Kelce had a very good year, he didn't get over a thousand yards because he missed two games. Your way off on Xavier Worthy! You think he doesn't have elite route running? I don't know why people are saying this, all you have to do is put on the tape. And with this offense he's going to explode! The last thing I'll say is this, what makes kc great is that there deep at every position, except tackle. Just think, they won the superbowl with 4 starters out and that wasn't even mentioned during the whole superbowl. They will replace Sneed with Watson, Williams and Nazeeh Johnson. They are very deep at that position.

Travis turned it on big time in the playoffs, but if you’re gonna sell me that he didn’t look a touch off during the regular season for a lot of the year, let’s not waste our time. Maybe it was the injury, and playing the season banged up, who knows. I personally think he’s got great football left in him so I don’t really have much else to say there. We’ll see on Worthy man. He hasn’t played so it’s all speculation and opinion on our fronts for now. You think he’s a polished route runner, I think he needs some time to develop his game for the pro level. Next season will show us a little of both I’m sure. Sneed is gonna be hard to replace, but I’m with you, I think this defense will still be elite. Thanks for watching, hope this addresses some of your issues and we appreciate the feedback a lot! 🙏

"Chiefs vs Lions" Might have not been a one point win for the Lions if Travis Kelce and Chris Jones, you know, two of the top ten players in the entire NFL had played in that game, just saying. Plus the Chiefs still win if KT doesn't two hand volleyball pass a perfect throw from Mahomes into a pick six for the Lions. .. Lions I like their chances this year, more so than the 49'ers .. Worthy You need to watch more film. I was extremely skeptical until I did. His drop rate was lower than Marvin Harrison last year. His ball tracking skills are elite. He runs a good route tree, and knows how to use his speed(up/down) to advantage. He's a MUCH better fit for the Chiefs offense than McConkey(the Chiefs already have Rice for that role). With Brown and Worthy opening up the middle for Rice and Kelce, defenses will have an impossible task. . Kelce / old Who was the best receiver in the playoffs. = Not even close Who was the one player that took over in the 2nd half of the SB when everyone else was dragging = #87 The Chiefs might cut his percentage of snaps, but, I would not count on Kelce not being there when needed.
