No the minority living there cant afford it 2 million isn't alot considering it's on 5 acres I'm from nyc 2 million in New York u may get the house but it won't be 5 acres not even the whole block you'll own your backyard 😂😂😂 my family bought a town house that was barely 700 sq they paid 500 thousand for it and this was in 2006 unfinished basement and backyard you guys get luxury in Missouri compared to us you cant even get a basic house in ny for 189,0000 that's like owning a studio or one bedroom condo...my husband alone makes 100,000 a year were renters... not buyers we were looking for an apt in ny our budget was 1850 a studio in ny starts at 1700 we ended up going to the next state over in jersey...jersey city 2 bedrooms 2 bath for 1150 way under budget ....being a new yorker and visiting and lived in other states the cost of living is so much cheaper even if you take a pay cut I work travel merchandising I've passed through Missouri was there a couple of hours down town st louis its beautiful you guys have amazing brick architecture.❤

Very true. I had a friend buy a newly built home for $500,000. It was starting to fall apart in less than 4 years. Water leak from bad plumbing. Drywall was garbage. Paint peeling. Roof went bad and he put a metal roof on. Siding blew off. Sidewalk and driveway cracked and broke up. You could really feel the cheesy craftsmanship when the wind blew hard. Really felt like the house would fall down any moment. I wouldnt have bought that house for $10,000. I felt really bad for him. He sued either the builder or seller....not sure which....but he won and got most of his money back and they sold the to someone else. Not sure how much it went for. Its a real shame. Older homes were built solid.

Ironically, Kansas actually has the 3rd most affluent neighborhood in the US (Mission Hills, KS), according to Forbes magazine. There are houses in Mission Hills that would make your jaw drop. The largest house in Mission Hills, KS, is the Russell Stover Mansion. (Yes, Russell Stover Candy). Long story short: Stover fell in love with an English manor house about 100 yrs ago. He had an exact replica of it built in Kansas. It looks like fucking Downtown Abbey. It was for sale for $60 million. (One the East or West coasts it would be worth +$130 million).
@TomWatsonB1
@TomWatsonB1 4 жыл бұрын
@@russbear31 $60 Million? Please. Utter nonsense. The home is worth about $4 Million, if that. And, no, it is not the largest home in Mission Hills, although it is one of the largest, at 14,839 square feet. For instance, the home at 6544 Wenonga Cir. is larger, at 17600 square feet. And, once again, no, the Stover family didn't even design the home and weren't the original owners. So, other than Mission Hills being very affluent and a beautiful suburb of Kansas City, nothing you said is true. By the way, homes in Mission Hills can range in price from around $600,000 to $4 Million.

That wine cellar in the 2nd house looks like a theme restaurant. Who is going to entertain in there? I mean I'm 48, but that looks like something my grandparents would enjoy....but they're dead so.....

Cause they're ugly and overpriced for the area. My parents had a 2003 3200sqft house with a 500sqft Morton building outside of KC with 10 acres of land for $290,000

The second house is everything that's wrong with new architecture in this part of the country. That house is the most boring thing I've ever seen, who would pay 2 mil for that? I'll take something half the size with more interesting aesthetic any day.

If all that timber were removed for wood such as HEMP & the lead as well as asbestos apparently...............that asking price would be nice.

I live about 50 minutes from San Francisco depending on traffic and it has become a disgusting mess. Homeless go to the bathroom right on the streets. Also used needles from drug users are left on sidewalks, streets and just all over the place. The homeless situation is so bad and the city in many parts smells. It used to be such a nice place to visit but I never go there anymore. Sacramento is bad enough with all its crime.
