When I saw Kansas in Denver, on 1/15/1978, during Robby's solo, they had installed lights under a sheet of plexiglass. The lights shot up thru his hair andViolin. One of the cooler things at one of my 100 + concerts. R.I.P ROBBY!

I liked how, during the introductions, when the spot was beamed at "Smokin Dave Hope," he blew smoke from his mouth and bowed. Man, you talk about theatrics and stage mastery, that was a perfect example of theirs. I met Dave after the concert, and he's a genuine nice guy. I'm glad I got to see them in their prime, as there will never be another band like them.

First time for me was '75 and were on fire .. on a bill with Nugent opening ( before crazy) and the mighty blue oyster cult.. then 78 as headliner and were even better musically and I will never see again as not to diminish my memories of them in prime

My brother and I shared a room growing up. He was in HS and graduated in 1978. I was six years behind him. He had a great stereo and you can imagine I was exposed to all the great music of that era. Being from Kansas, this group was always special to me. For many, certain things trigger exact memories of their early years and music does that for me.

What a fantastic live version of a timeless classic. Great band, great songs. Kansas are one of my all time favourite bands. Too bad that Kansas couldn't recapture the magic on subsequent albums following "Left Overture". Absolutely brill. Thanks for posting this kansasVevo. These videos from the Canada Jam are some of the best for viewing. Steve is on fire. Is there video of the complete concert that can be posted? I love watching these although Kansas had always been great. Our younger days enable us to do things we can only think about now but that energy the band had at this time was off the hook. Steve, your still great in my book but back then, you were hot, hot, hot! Thank you. You added substance to my younger days.
