Your comment just made my day , man, hahaha! After all, what is good music if you can't have a healthy laugh about it. For the record: I like both Kansas and Metallica.

Damn Kansas should really start marketing these beautiful pieces of work; Not many people actually know about this!

The reason is that the current members of the band and some, if not most of their fans, seem to like to 'forget' the Elefante era of the band. Drastic Measures and Vinyl Confessions are often maligned due to it not having the signature 'Kansas sound'. Personally I LOVE it but they are quite a few who don't. :)

Tungus Grump Well, were they not albums that didn't have Steve Walsh on them? I mean, being such a Walsh fan, if he's not on it, i'm not really interested. Not that these albums aren't great and they have some great stuff there, I just think he is such a draw for me. JMHO.....

Rich Green Well you can blame Livgren for that. He became a born-again and decided he wanted his faith to shine through more in the band, so Walsh left.

Vyselink And I don't for a minute blame him. But Steve always loved the guy and admired him for his talent, they worked well together, and they overcame their differences over the years and are good friends today. It's funny, I have played with a ton of musicians and have had a few lose a propeller and go off to the religious side. I ended up playing some studio parts then played with a high production outfit. Then went live. That shit is actually well produced and musically powerful. I'm not a religious folk, but I would do it again. Peace brother!

Rich........Thanks for the commentary. I always thought that the Steve/Kerry thing was not about being Born Again or not, rather the musical output of the band itself and their different visions. True Christians never express hostility to those who have not accepted our Lord. Evangelism is sharing the good news of the salvation that is available through Jesus Christ. Unlike Judaism and Islam, Christians believe that there are many ways to share that good news with those who are willing to listen.

I saw Kansas a 3 times in Indy when I lived there. Never failed to Rock us. Maybe they won't ever know how "into our head's" they've gotten. I'm 68 and living proof. If you haven't, see "Miracles Out Of Nowhere." You won't be sorry!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

It's because Jay Sekulow of the A.C.L.J. and Kerry Livgren are Christians....problem with the A.C.L.J. is that they're the A.C.L.U. for deniers of Separation of Church and State.

This song sounds EXACTLY like John & Dino Elefante’s Mastedon music, fricken awesome!!! I can also hear where the band Petra got their amazing sound after the Elefante bros started producing it. John Elefante’s solo albums are always on my playlist as well. GOD-GIVEN TALENT cannot go unnoticed.
