Same with me, I just started my first season last fall, and its already gone, it was like a blink of an eye. Mine starts in October, but that is still 7 1/2 months

Born and raised in kansas, I knew it was a very prominent state for white tail , I didn't know it was so renowned for waterfowl. Can't wait untill opening day in a few days!

You have put a lot of work into your dog, and it shows. When I had my working dogs it doubled my enjoyment for shooting. My Spaniels would also track deer for me.👍👍

I really appreciate this episode - its nice to see a more realistic example of duck hunting - seeing this kind of thing helps me want to stay in the game as a new waterfowl hunter who is having trouble putting alot of birds down and wondering what I am doing wrong.

Also this was exactly my experience as a new hunter - only shot 2 of 20 ducks I got in the season on decoys and all the others were jump shooting or even sneaking through wetlands to get within range of sitting ducks.

Last October for Wisconsin opener I hunted the Mississippi River near Alma in shorts , no shoes , no shirt, covered in bug spray . With a pole in the water catching bluegills within 10 feet of our decoys lol

Kansas waterfowling was really odd this year, didn’t really start getting lots of geese until January and we still had all speckle bellies until December, pretty much only shot teal during duck season
