If someone had told me a few years ago, "Kanye and Kim are eventually going to have a really messy public breakup," I would not have been surprised at all. What *does* surprise me is how one-sided this messy behavior is. Based on how the Kardashian family has handled relationship drama in the past, I would have assumed that Kim will engage in just as much petty social media bullshit as Kanye, if not more. The fact that Kim is acting like a stable adult and responsible parent just makes Kanye's behavior look even worse. Obviously we have no idea what things are like behind the scenes, but from the outside it really seems like Kim is just trying to do the right thing for herself and her kids while her ex husband has a mental breakdown.

The fact that he's struggling so much with that concept at his grown age (and the fact that his fans thinks it's a valid excuse for him to harass and bully others to comply) is really telling of our society...and not in a good way. People's lives don't have to revolve around Kanye West, they're complete persons, not footnotes in the Kanye West story. Is he the only person that's ever lost a parent in the history of mankind? The only person that's ever gone through a divorce? He's not, obviously, he just thinks he's the only one whose life matters, and he's wrong. Most people figure this out when they're 9y/o, the fact that he's pushing 50 and hasn't figured it out yet speaks of the huge degree of entitlement and coddling thats he's been around. Life's a bitch and, in the end, we can only really count on ourselves to make it through. As a bipolar person let me be clear: Kanye is having a manic episode. Does this excuse shit? No. What needs to happen here though is more than just public humiliation (which he has brought on himself). What Kanye needs is serious time alone with a group of people who love him, that he feels safe with, he needs to be in an environment with no social media, and if he elects to abuse said people who love him (verbally or otherwise) he needs to be alone in such an environment. The man feels right now he needs to be listened to, and if he can he'll throw it out to the whole world. Right now he needs to be confiding in a chosen few, and humoured (even with lies) until he evens out. Soon Kanye will crash into depression, likely gain weight, likely drop off in some way. The loyalty thing is interesting, I think for Kanye what he's worried about is being disrespected. I speak from experience when I say mania can result in some serious hypersensitivity. Kanye likely will need antipsychotics, and antidepressants to balance out for the time being. I myself am off meds, but it required therapy, a professional and social support network, and a flexible job. It's not possible for all of us, and I have slipped in the past. What I need to trust people to do when I'm manic is realize I'm not in my right mind, and disengage with me when my mania is more than just a comical two week long period of time where I act as though I am the incarnation of caffeination.

Kanye needs to take his meds. Right now. His rants are not the works of a mad genius, but of someone that needs help. The problem is that I seriously doubt that Kanye has someone in his life that can do this job. Either people are tired of his behavior or are yes-men that seriously don't care about him as long as he keeps paying them. He alienated everybody close to him that was capable of giving sound advise. And the fans still see him as a mad genius when in fact he's sick and needs help.

Kim's situation is awful, no doubt, it's just lately I've been seeing people find the Pete's side of it funny while also condemning Kanye's behavior towards Kim. Pete's on the receiving end of a harassment campaign, cant be good for a dude who already struggles with his mental health.

Right! I feel horrible for Pete bc all he did was start dating an available woman. He didn’t break anyone up. He’s not instigating. Honestly *and this is all my personal experience and opinion* I have bipolar disorder and am successfully medicated. Bipolar disorder is like one of the mental illnesses where stabilizing without medications is, uh... difficult. I know that for me, there is no life where I am not taking medications every day to actively manage this. This is just my opinion, but I think Kanye needs serious help and I think he needs to be on mood stabilizers. If he was going to be able to manage his bipolar disorder without meds....it would have happened by now. But no, he is clearly not in control of his manic episodes. The energy is overwhelming. Just my opinion/theory: I personally don't think he's some mastermind, I don't think he's in complete control. I could be wrong of course but if I had to guess I honestly believe he's being genuine - which is why judging him based on these actions is valid (versus the cynical conspiracy that this is all for publicity). He has all the markers of classic mania, I noticed first for sure in his infamous TMZ rant. I wonder how much he's sleeping right now. 🤔 (I say with this genuine empathy btw. It's hard to communicate.) (For me, I'm on 250 mg Seroquel and 200 mg Lamictal. I used to be on higher doses. I'm also on some other meds that help, including Prazosin at night to help with panic attacks and Vyvanse in the morning to help me wake up and focus throughout the day as well as helping me fall asleep at night. I haven't suffered a manic episode since 2016. I've accepted that I'll need to take meds everyday for the rest of my life. Honestly I'm just happy that I am successfully managing this and have completely stabilized. After what I've gone through, the control my meds have finally given me is precious. I would not be where I am today if it weren't for my meds. Unfortunately I think Kanye needs something.) Edit: again, just my opinion. I really wish Kanye could do well without meds but I do think a combo is out there that could completely change his life and give him back the control that I don't think he currently has. Bipolar disorder is an awful awful beast that ruins lives and I don't wish on anyone. ♥️

"When Kanye talks about god and spirituality he (...) goes into spirituality or his concept of god with a preconceived notion of what is right or what he wants to do in his head" Man literally called himself Jesus in like 2014, and I wouldn't be surprised if he still believed it

Oh yeah, Kanye doesn't seem deeply homophobic and he's made pro-gay statements in the past, but I'm very worried that his bipolar mania is reinvegarting a religious identity less based off his love for God, but as he is a disciple of God.

I'm not saying he's not necessarily but why does that statement make him homophobic? Pete Davidson's not LGBTQ+ as far as I'm aware?
@botanicus29212 жыл бұрын
@@JeromeBeckett then what's that post saying? Pete Davidson isn't fucking with MGK? Like I disagree with Kanyes point compleltey, but that's what he's trying to get at

Again, Kanye doesn't actually care if Pete is gay, he just wants to vilify him to an audience that's becoming more and more conservative and cultish
@JeromeBeckett2 жыл бұрын
@@botanicus2921 oh I get what you're saying, cos it's on that post of them in their underwear. Yeah maybe it is being a lil homophobic then. Tbh I think more likely it's just to clown on him being a goof and vilify him more, as you said

I think the piece that we aren't collectively talking about is the impact this will have on his kids. It's an abusive thing he's doing, and he's looking for attention in order to keep himself relevant, while attacking the mother of his children publicly, calling for randoms to harass her boyfriend, and trashing on young women MUCH younger than him, doing so in the "name of God" so he can keep eyeballs on him. It's a gross, mysognistic look, that is hurting a lot of people close to him that he should be protecting. Yes, he's mentally ill, but he has the resources to get himself help if he actually wanted it, and none of the people around him are doing anything to point him towards stability. This isn't "for his family". It's for himself. If he's like this on Instagram, imagine what he's like behind closed doors.

Melon was kinda hinting at that when he brought up his own experience with ugly divorce (as I myself have as well.) But yes, my first thought was that I feel bad for North to have to be going through this BS coming from her Dad. Its a toxic toxic sitch and she's had to see so much ugliness in the short time she's been alive JUST IN HER OWN HOUSE
@jare___2 жыл бұрын
@@prettyshinyspaghetti8332 I think Tony has done the best job of anyone I’ve seen at discussing this. The part where said that “Kanye can’t imagine any reason why he wouldn’t be in that house that has to do with him” really stuck with me. I think you make a really good point, too. Who knows what they’re all feeling right now already.

Even if it is for attention and selfishness it doesn't make it any less self destructive, it's not only the bridges he's burning and his family he's hurting, he's actively ruining his own life and none of the people in his friend circle is doing anything about it. Not defending his actions, but i do think the people he surrounds himself should be part of the conversation too. (Also its not very easy to just go to therapy with mental issues because you tend to be in denial or convince yourself that you can fix yourself when you cant, thats coming from someone who's been in therapy basically my whole life.)
