Kanye gave the beat that would eventually be H To The Izzo to everyone including Coodie (Kanye Documentary on Netflix) and to me for a radio promo that was supposed to be rapped by Common with a hook by Carl Thomas. Also, while Kanye was giving away beats he’d already sold, he also gave the Jay-Z the beat and hook for the song Never Change (which was recorded by a Chicago artist named Payroll). Kanye was basically selling his soul and doing anything to get on including giving away another man’s ACTUAL SONG (Never Change) to Jay Z. The beat was done by Kanye but Payroll made the hook for Never Change and never got credit. Kanye got jumped for that in Chicago BY Payroll and Payroll got his leg broken by Kanye’s crew. Also, Brian All Day Miller produced Down And Out, Kanye just put his name on it to get All Day in the game (similar to what D Dot did with Kanye to get him in the game)

It's so wild how beats make their way around the hip-hop community, especially back when it wasn't super easy to get beats. That white guy wanted it and it slept all over town til it married Jay-Z and we heard it on the radio, that's crazy shit. And it's a crazy cut-up thing from the Jackson 5 - such a strange art form the more you know about it.

This video is great. Although there are a few things I would add... Ye didn't produce Down And Out. Brian Miller did. Ye did produce Dipset Forever, another song from the same Cam'ron album. Ye selling the Izzo beat to Hov eventually led into a feud between Hov and Cam'ron. And that wasn't even the only time Ye resold a beat. The beat for Never Change off of the Blueprint was originally for a Chicago rapper named Payroll. His song was out a whole year before Jay-Z's version. This led to another feud, this time with Ye and Payroll. That's all I can think of. Love your channel.

How do you think anyone you've covered would feel watching a vid about their musical legacy but then you taking a detour to comment about how you feel that their current persona is inadequate and how you don't prefer how they act now. Try to remain in that positive, enlightening space that you've been doing so well in. You don't strike me as a confrontational type of person. Don't turn into Vlad.
